Chapter 17

I giggled & squirmed, eventually pushing Rafe off of me, and crawling up the bed, and jumping off the side. He stood in front of me & took my hand, my hands look so little compared to his.

"Look at me mea lux" he whispers, so softly only him & I hear the words. I look up into his eyes, and he speaks again, "let me take you out tonight , mea lux, let me spoil you", I hesitate, but shake my head 'yes'

He smiles at me, and kisses me on the cheek, "we will leave at 8, be ready" he says, as he walks out of the room , going where I presume to be back to his study.

I lay in bed for what seems like minutes before I decide to start getting ready, the clock reads 6:30 p.m. I climb out of bed, walking into the bathroom , shedding my clothes, and climbing in the shower. Scrubbing my skin thoroughly, and washing my hair, enjoying the fragrance surrounding me, I finally decide I've spent enough time in the shower. I climb out, wrapping a huge fluffy white towel around my body and hair, I open the door of the bathroom, in front of me , two women, with wide smiles on their faces, I give them a confused look, "Rafe instructed us to help you get ready!, I'm Cynthia, and this is Safiya", says the short woman with long blood red hair , and a freckled body from head to toe, as she nods over to the skinny, tall woman with long black hair and green eyes. I just smile, as they pull me out.

I sit in the middle of the floor, still in my towel, as I feel them pull and tug on my hair & smear different makeup products all over my face , finally, after what seems like forever, they stand in front of me , with big smiles. I stand to go look at myself, but they halt me in my tracks, "not until you put on your dress and heels!" says Safiya, with a big grin.

I walk over to my closet, to see a maroon gown, with white platform heels. I slipped on the dress and heels, walking over to the mirror and gawking at myself. I smiled and hugged both of the girls.

I began walking down the stairs , seeing Rafe at the bottom of the stairs, as he turns around, I see his eyes widen, with my wolf hearing I hear him whisper "mea lux", I reach the end of the stairs, and smile at him, he kisses me on the cheek, and just looks at me.

We get in the black Audi, and arrive at the restaurant in a few minutes, he helps me out of the car, and we're immediately seated. I feel as though all eyes are on us.

"Mea Lux, are you nervous ?" He asks

"Duh!" I say in a very 'obviously' tone
We talk and laugh the night away, the food was delicious, I was thinking , this is the perfect end to a perfect day, before he asks the question that made my heart stop

"Will you show me your wolf?"
