13: Outside is fun and dangerous

Elysse's POV

I'm getting bored in here. Mom said that tomorrow I will help her pick some fruits at the forest. I refused because I don't want to leave Rapunzel alone here. She said that she will be fine.

I looked at the window. I saw some lights floating up in the sky, they were like floating lanterns. I remembered Rapunzel was telling me about the floating lights.

I was sleepy so I went back to sleep.

•••Next day!(Tuesday😁)•••

I woke up and stretched my arms while yawning. I glanced at the time and it was 8:00am. I stood up and dressed up. When I was finish, I saw my mom. She was holding basket. Then, she looked at me.

"Good morning, mom," I greeted her with a grin. She smiled at me too. Then, she walked towards me while swaying her hips.

"Oh, you look wonderful. Are you ready?" she raised her eyebrow while smiling. I nodded.

"Rapunzel!" she yelled. Then, I heard someone walking.

"Yes, mother?" Rapunzel asked.

"Rapunzel, let down your hair," my mom grinned. Punzie sighed. Her face was sad.

"Awww, Punzie, cheer up! Mommy will be back in few minutes," mom cupped her face. She was being sweet, well, trying.

Punzie sighed. "It's not that, mother. I just.....*sighs*it's just boring here. Can I go outside?" she asked, doing a puppy eyes. She has a pet chameleon name Pascal, sitting at her shoulder. Then, mom's face became serious.

"Rapunzel, we talked about this already, right? You can't go outside because it's not safe there," she tucked Punzie's hair behind her ear. My legs were getting tired so I decided to sit but I was stopped.

"Elysse? Let's go," mom said while walking with Rapunzel.

"Great, just great"

Rapunzel let her long blonde hair fall down out of the balcony. She was holding it. Then, mom grabbed her hair and slide down.
Now, it's my turn but I don't need to use Rapunzel's hair. I just wanted to jump through it.

I grabbed the railing and stepped to it. I was about to jump Pumzie stopped me.

"W-Wait. Aren't you gonna use my hair?" she asked.

"Nah...  I would rather fall if I used it," I said. I'm really not good at using long hair or rope to slide so a person could get down from a highest place. "And a little reminder for you... Don't let anyone go here, ok?" I gaved her a faint smile. Then, she looked down.

"O-Ok," she said then went inside. I sighed. Then, jumped. I landed safely. Then, I followed mom. We were now at the forest. It was peaceful and everything was neat. She busy picking up some fruits.

I tried to find some fruits and gladly I find some. While I was busy, I heard some noise coming from the bushes but I ignored it. Then, I heard a scream.

"Mom?" I called her while loooking at it.

"Yes, honey?"

"I've been hearing strange sounds lately and now," I glanced at her.

"What kind of strange noise?"

"It's coming fro–" I was cut off when someone or something quickly jump, landing in front of us. They, were two and had eye patch on their eye. They, were holding a knife.
