Through text Jaidon and I decided to go on a date. We barely talk in person anymore. All he cares about is his reputation and his new friends. Jaidon doesn't even seem to care about me anymore. My feelings and my opinions don't matter to him anymore. At school he walks past me, not saying a word. The cigarette between his lips stays still when he smiles, so I'm not even sure if I can call it a smile.

When he's with his friends he acts like a prick. He treats me like I'm an object. But boy, I'm your girlfriend. To be honest, I don't know if I still am. We only talk to each other through text, because he's always too busy being the bad guy. I told him I wasn't pleased with his attitude, so he told me it was a great idea to go on a date to work things out. He said he would pay for everything, to treat me like a princess and to make things up to me.

So here I am now, waiting right in front of the entrance of the theme park. He's two minutes late, which he never is. He is always way too early when you make an appointment with him. On our previous dates, I was the one who was always late. Well, that's what it felt like. I was always right on time, actually. I see someone running across the street and I squeeze my eyes to see who the person is. There's a cigarette behind his ear, a hat on his head and there's something shiny in his eyebrow. It's Jaidon. He comes closer to me and greets me with a hug.

"I'm sorry I'm late, I had to finish this thing at home." he says, but I just roll my eyes. I look at the shiny thing in his eyebrow and I see it's an eyebrow piercing.

"What the fuck." I whisper as I bring my hands closer to his face.

He flinches and grabs my wrist before I can touch his skin. "Don't, I just got it so it's still kind of sore." He stays quiet as I pull my hand away from his grip. I study his eyebrow once more before he chuckles. "It looks cool, right?"

"It does, but it's just not you." I say, trying to sound convincing. It doesn't look cool on him. Jaidon isn't one of those cool guys. He's this quiet guy who wouldn't talk to anyone, because he was scared of being judged.

"Oh well, people change," Jaidon says. "Let's go inside, shall we?"

I just nod and he wraps his arm around my waist. I missed the feeling of him holding me close to him. It feels safe and I haven't felt that way in ages. For the past two weeks, I sat alone at lunch and in class. I had no one to talk to, except for this small group of girls. I don't know if I can consider them my friends, to be honest. I just talk to them whenever I need them. Sometimes they try to make me join their conversations, but then I just want to be alone. At times like this I miss my hometown. I miss England. I miss literally everything. Jaidon used to make me feel so special, so loved. And now that's all gone because he barely talks to me anymore. With all my heart, I pray that today is going to be one of those days where he makes me feel like I'm special.

We enter the theme park, after Jaidon pays for the both of our tickets. He opens the map he bought with the tickets. "So, where do you want to go first?"

I look at the map and notice there's a rollercoaster that looks exciting to me. I excitedly point at the place where I want to go. Jaidon's eyes widen and he swallows, but nods and folds the map. He puts it in the pocket of his leather jacket before grabbing my hand. As we walk to the rollercoaster I start rambling about how much I love rollercoasters. Jaidon seems very quiet, but I ignore it. He used to tell me that he loves it when I'm rambling. I talk about nonsense with so much passion and it always makes him smile. However, right now he isn't smiling. There's a scared look on his face and his palms seem to get sweatier with every step we take.

"Oh my God!" I say as we walk past a shooting gallery. A massive teddy bear is being shown and the little child in me is back. "Jaidon, I want to do this. I need to win that teddy bear."

I let go of his hand and I run to the man who probably owns the shooting gallery. I hand him some coins I found in my wallet, which is just enough to do this. The man tells me the rules and I roll my eyes, already knowing everything there is to know about this. I shoot three times, missing the last one. I curse under my breath and walk away, knowing I don't have any coins left to pay this man. Jaidon gets his wallet and walks towards the guy. He hands him some money and takes place behind the gun.

"I got this, babe." he says and he winks, before he shoots three times. I hear a loud yell from Jaidon and I realize he didn't miss any. The man hands him the teddy bear I wanted and I can't help but hug Jaidon.

"I'm carrying it, but it's definitely for you, my love." he says as he kisses me softly.

I compliment him a couple more times as we continue walking to the rollercoaster. The line is long, but I beg Jaidon to wait with me. He gives in, laughing at my puppy face. We wait in line and he seems to get quieter than he was before. When the sign says it's only ten minutes until it's our turn, Jaidon gets his cigarette from behind his ear. I sigh and grab it.

"Please, not today. You know I don't like it when people smoke."

"But," he says, but I interrupt him. "Don't say 'but'. Please, Jaidon, just don't smoke today."

He sighs, but stops complaining. "I just smoke when I'm stressed."

"Are you stressed right now?"

"Yeah."

"Why?"

"Because I'm fucking scared of rollercoasters." he admits quietly with his head down.

"Jai, you should've told me earlier. We'll leave this line right now, okay? I don't want you to feel stressed because of me." I say as I already climb over the fences that are forming the line. I excuse myself a few times to the people who seemed pretty annoyed by me. Jaidon follows me and soon we are at the end of the line again. "We'll find some other place to go, okay?"

We walk through the park, looking for attractions Jaidon and I both want to have a ride in. Right now, Jaidon is already much more relaxed and he acts like the guy he was when I first met him. The shy, sweet and lovely boy I always knew. I give him a kiss on his cheek.

"I missed this, Jaidon." I say. "I missed you."

He just smiles at me, not saying a word. We sit down on a bench and he places the teddy bear next to him. He places his hands on my cheeks and he kisses me softly, a feeling I missed so much. I smile when I can feel him smiling as well. We pull back and he looks me in the eye.

"You're so beautiful." he whispers. I close my eyes and lean in again, but when I don't feel his lips on mine, I open my eyes to see where his lips are. I look at his eyes and I look at the direction he's looking in. There's a group of boys walking in our direction and Jaidon's eyes widen as he realizes who they are.

"Fuck." he whispers. He gets up from the bench and smiles, but it's obvious that it's a fake smile. He greets the boys with a kind of hug all boys do. They're the boys from school, his so-called friends. Within a second he changed into a sweet boy to a boy who thinks he's the coolest guy in town. I look at the scene in disbelief.

"Got your girl a teddy bear?" I see as one of Jaidon's friends looks at me. He scans my body and I feel slightly disgusted.

"Gotta keep the lady satisfied, yeah?" Jaidon says with a smirk, looking at me the same way his friend did. One of his other friends punches him and then laughs and I know what they mean by this.

"What the fuck, Jaidon." I say as I get up from the bench.

"Love, you know it's Jai, not Jaidon."

The boy on his right hands him a cigarette and Jaidon lits it. That's it, I think. I slap him and as soon as my hand leaves his cheek I feel some sort of relief.

"Fuck you, Jaidon. It's over." I say as I walk away from him, leaving the teddy bear on the bench.
