Aaron's Unknown Sister

 "Karleigh Skye Carpenter please get down here for breakfast, now!" I hear my mother yell for the billionth time from downstairs. I lazily dragged myself out of bed with a low annoyed grunt. I straightened out my clothes and quickly put my hair up in a bun. 

        "Come on mom. Can't you give me a break? It's the last day of school!" I whined as I navigated myself towards the kitchen.

        "It's already quarter to eight and you're still not ready?!" She exclaims as she catches a glimpse of me while I walk down the stairs.

        "As I said it's the last day of school. Since when did I ever show interest or take my time to get ready and why start now?" I state as I walked over to her and dad giving them a peck on the cheek. They were dressed for work already -suits and all. Which made me look extra lazy.

Let me introduce myself. I'm Karleigh Skye Carpenter. Yes, Carpenter. Aaron is my brother. Well legally. His parents adopted me when I was only 7 years old. Now I am 15 turning 16 on the 16th of June. So that makes me a couple months older than Aaron -one of the things we always argue about. That's me up there by the way.  I'm 5'6 and love to play sports. Basketball is what I live for ♥. 

        It's only been one day since Aaron's been back on tour. He came back for a week and a half and had just left yesterday. I kinda miss that butthole already actually. Aaron is one of the people I'm closest to -after my best friend Chloe. Ain't she gorgeous??? Oh and I have the cutest baby bunny in the world! Snowflake!

~         "You're right. That was a stupid question." 

        "Well we just wanted to tell you something before we left to work." My dad said as he puts his dishes away and fixes his tie.

        "What is it?" I ask as I stuff my face with the Nutella covered pancakes.

        My mom takes a deep breath and says, "You're staying with your brother for the summer."

        "Too bad he's on tour." I sassed.

        "And that's why you'll be on tour also." She starts gathering the stuff she needs -clearly not wanting to keep the conversation going on as we both knew it would soon turn into an argument. 

        "Don't get me wrong here but as close as I am to Aaron, I'd rather spend my summer here with all my friends." I say adding a nervous chuckle.

        "What friends?" My dad says jokingly and I shoot him a death glare.

        "Why am I even going in the first place?? You guys will be here over the summer won't you???"

        "That's the thing. Your father and I are going for a business trip all the way out to New Zealand and we couldn't say no to that! It's beautiful there and we were hoping maybe you could make even more friends and have fun while you go on tour with Aaron." She explains.

        "But I don't wanna leave Chloe! Or Snowflake! Plus I don't think their manager would even allow that!" I exclaim. 

        "We've already talked about it to him and he said it was completely fine. He said that you would be a great addition to the MagCon family and would make great attention for the media also. None of the boys know about you and hell, Bart barely even knew! He said Aaron didn't mention much about you -saying that he just didn't want you to get any hate or anything. We've raised him well." Dad says and pretends to wipe tears from his eyes then gives my mom a quick peck on the lips.

        I smile at their adorableness until Chloe and Snowflake popped back into my mind."Still! I'm not leaving Chloe or Snowflake." 

        "I've already talked to Chloe's parents and they're fine with it as long as you make sure to keep her completely safe. But I'll still have to see about Snowflake." She puts her shoes on and grabs her keys. "And one more thing before we leave, we still haven't told Aaron yet so be home early so you can be here when we do. Alright bye hunny." She blows a kiss to me and quickly got out the door before I could even reply.

        "Let's hope this summer goes well then." I say grabbing a yellow sweater and putting my shoes on before walking over to Chloe's house -excited for this last school day to end.
