Aaron's Unknown Sister

chapter 2

        "So your mom's okay with it?" I ask Chloe as we walk to my house and out of hell that they call school.

        "Surprisingly, yeah! She is. She said that I deserved a break because I've been doing so well at school. Guess doing good things actually pays off." She says adding a shrug. My best friend is a straight-A student since like kindergarten. And as odd as it is, I am too.

        "Okay good! I wouldn't have gone if you weren't coming! And plus, at least now, we get to travel like we've always wanted to." To travel around the world was one of the many things that were in mine and Chloe's wishlist. I guess travelling America will be a start.

        "I'm actually super excited! And have you seen the guys on that tour?? They're pretty good-lookin!" She says and we both let out a giggle.

        "Yeah.. I guess they are pretty hot. But I bet they'll just be like one of those celebrities who are really rude and ignorant in person." I answer.

         "I hope not." She replies. The rest of the walk home, me and Chloe just fooled around and made jokes about everything. We laughed at how funny Mr. Peter's face was when we smushed his face onto his chocolate birthday cake. He turned 46 today and we decided to bring him a cake to school. We sang along to some Tyler, the Creator songs and made weird faces at each other until we reached my door.

        "We have arrived!" I yell walking in and see my parents watching TV.

        "Great you losers are here." My dad says taking a sip from his coffee.

        "Hey girlies. Go grab a snack then come sit with us so we can call Aaron and tell him about it." Mom added and so we take our shoes off, put down our backpacks and grab something to eat. Chloe and I sat beside each other on the black leather couch facing my parents.

        My mom picks up her phone from the coffee table, dials Aaron's number and puts the call on speaker phone so we all could hear.

        "Mom?" We hear Aaron as he picks up on the second ring.

        "Hey hunny. Sorry for not letting you know we were gonna call." 

        "It's fine. I was super bored anyways. The boys are all just on their phones being super extra bori-"

        "You're boring! You're doing the exact same as us!" A faint boy's voice comes from the other end then we hear a thud.

        "Ow! Nash, stop throwing pillows!" Aaron yells and we all chuckle.

        "Who is it anyways?! Is it Momma C??" Nash says as he comes closer to the phone.

        "Hey Nash! How's it goin'?" She replies.

        "Oh it is!! Guys! Momma C's on the phone!" He yells and we hear quick footsteps and the guys shrieking "Momma C!" as they run towards the phone.

        "Is Mr. Carpenter there?" One of them asks.

        "Hey boys." Dad answers.

        "WE MISS YOU GUYS!!!"

        "We miss you too!" He replied back to the boys. Me and Chloe give each other a weird look, not knowing that they were this close with my parents.

        "Okay, guys! Get off m- oh my gosh you guys are heavy!" Aaron says sounding hurt. 

        "Well.. We sort of have to tell you something. And as much as you try to get out of it, you can't." My mom said.

        "WHAT IS IT MOMMA C?!?" A boy screams into the phone.

        "Calm down Jack! And okay. So, you're sister is coming to stay with you for the summ-" She continues to explain but was quickly interrupted.

        "SISTER??!" They all say in a shocked unison.

        "What?? Why?" Aaron whines.

        "Your mom and I are off to New Zealand for the summer and we figured that it would be great for you guys to spend time together." 

        "AARON. YOU HAVE A SISTER AND YOU DIDN'T TELL US?!" One of them shouts and Aaron tries to muffle the phone's mic part.

        "I didn't want her to get hate from any of the fans or have you guys all over her and that kind of stu-." He tries to state but also gets interrupted.

        "DIBS!!"

        "NO I CALL DIBS!"

        "FIRST ONE TO THE DOOR!" We hear running footsteps and thuds and ows.

        "Exactly what I mean! And really mom?? Why can't you guys like, take her or leave her at Chloe's??" 

        "Who's Chloe?! Dibs!!" By now, me and Chloe are laying on the couch trying to control our laughter.

        "It wouldn't be fair if you're away from home over the summer and so are we and Karleigh stays here. She deserves a vacation!" She answers.

        "But have you talked to Bart about it yet?? Is it okay?" Aaron asks.

        "Yeah he says it's fine. An addition of two new girls in MagCon would be great he said." 

        "Wait, two?? So Chloe's coming also?"

        "Yeah. They'll be there by tomorrow morning. They were supposed to leave two days from now but your dad and I wanted them out of the house earlier." Mom flashes a smile at me and the boys on the other line chuckle.

        "Fine. I miss that butthole already anyways." Aaron says and with that it was settled that me and Chloe are now a part of MagCon for the summer.
