Ch.4-Wingman Operation

AU-not gonna say anything. I really like this chapter.

   Nick had not really thought about the short 'I love you' Judy had given him. She always said it as a friend. But the way she reacted to it this time made Nick confused. Did she say it cause he was taking her to see a movie. Did she say it because they were best-friends. Did she say it cause she Kent it? No. Judy would never date a fox. Would she? She's going to see a movie that YOU invited her to. She was happy to go. Ad then she said she loved you. It wasn't no heat of the moment shit but Nick didn't know how to go about it. That's probably the PNLY reason he asked Finnick for help.
   Even though he was a hard-ass and didn't like to help people, Finnick would always make an exception for Nick. Also Finnick held all kinds of good advise.
   "Alright so you want to know if the bunny cop likes you?" Finnick asked trying to hold back laughs.
   "Something like that. Finnick I really do like her but I've been hiding it because I don't know if she feels the same way. Also the public, and her parents will eat us both alive. I don't want to put her through that but I can't hide it from her any more. I want her to know."
   "Well then just tell her!" Finnick almost yelled grabbing the attention to a couple of workers in the shop.
   "I can't."
   "And why the fuck not!?" Finnick said with a raised brow.
   "Cause I don't know if she's seeing someone?"
   "Bullshit Nick. You know she ain't seein anyone," Finnick said," Now give me a better reason. The truthful reason. Of why you came here."
   "I want you to be my wingman," Nick suggested.
  "No!" Finnick almost yelled again.
   "Come on man please?"
   Finnick was about to say 'no' again but then Nick pulled out a $20 and handed it to the small fox," I think I can take care of that Nicky boy."
   "Thanks Fin," Nick said," Alright then. Do your magic," Nick finished saying as he left.
   "Damn that boy is dumber than a bunny," one of the employees had said," Does he really have NO idea that rabbit in into him. Does his sniffer even work, cause we all smell it everyday when they come in."
   "Nicks just a little slow guys. And I'm gonna help him out. A little couple I know taught me a thing or two about hustling," Finnick said as he pulled a carrot pen out of his pocket and pushed a button that made the pen say,' I really do like her, but I've been hiding it because I don't know if she feels the same way."
   "Well Finnick. I guess you can say you hustled your boy Nick," the employee, Rob a otter, said.
   "Yes I did. Now what the hell do you think your doing. I ain't payin you to stand you as around. Get to work."
   When the otter left the room, Finnick called a number and a voice finally came through.
   "Hey Jay....yeah it's Finnick.....remember that favor you owe me....yeah....alright then here's what I need you to do......"

   Nick and Judy were in their patrol car that Monday watching the surrounding areas of savannah Central. The two were Just talking and listening to the radio. It was their favorite pastime when they couldn't find someone to arrest or give a ticket.
   "So did your parents get home safe?" Nick had asked.
   "Yeah. And they said that they really liked you. You weren't the fox they thought you were gonna be," Judy had responded.
   "Well that's nice," Nick said. He was happy about that. Judy's parents were pretty cool. And they made blueberries.
   About then their was an old rabbit robbed of her purse and Nick and Judy were quick to run for the suspect. In the end Nick was the one who caught him and was putting the car as Judy talked to the old rabbit and her son. Nick couldn't hear much of what was going on but he did hear that the younger rabbit, about Judy's age, was hittin on her. And he thought Judy was enjoying it.
   After getting the report they needed Judy and Nick went back to the ZPD to bring the robber into booking. They were driving through the city trying to get to the ZPD.
   Then the goat they had just arrested started talking," You know little bunny. I saw those flirts you were giving to that rabbit back their. You two gonna have kids soon."
   "Hey! Shit up back their," Nick had said.
   "Oh, you her boyfriend, foxy. If so you might want to get a tighter leash on her," the goat continued," I mean I would hate to see your bunny get ravished by another mammal."
   "One more word out of you and you will get extra charges," Judy had yelled at the goat.
   "Oh yeah. For what hurting your feeling," the goat had said in a similar tone nick had used on Judy when he said that same thing over a year ago.
   "Thad what I thought you dumb bunny."
   That's when Nick slammed on the brakes causing the goat to hit the cage in front of him. Knocking him out cold.
   "Well that shit him up. Didn't it," Judy tried at making a joke toward Nick. That's when she noticed Nick looked upset," Hey you ok, Slick?"
   "Yeah I'm fine Judy," Nick had said. That's when she knew something was up. He never called her but her name. It was always Carrots or Fluff. Something was defiantly wrong.
   "Is it about that goat?" Judy asked.
   "No Judy."
   "Was it the rabbit?"
   That's when Nick didn't say nothing. He promised to never lie to Judy, but he could tell her the truth. So he just said nothing.
   "Nick. Are you mad that I was talking to that rabbit?"
    "Judy just let it go," Nick pleaded. But Judy wasn't going to let it go right yet.
   "Why are you so jealous of me talking to another mammal?" Judy continued.
   "Just let it go Judy. Please," Nick asked again getting agitated.
   "No Nick. I want to know.," Judy continued. Hoping he would give her the reason she wanted," Just tell me Nick."
   "DAMMIT JUDY! Can you please just let it go! It was fucking nothing. Just. LET. IT. GO!!" Nick said before parking the car and slamming the door shut. He grabbed to goat who was now waking up and sent him to the booking center.
   Judy was left in the car heart broken.
   'What's the matter with him? Why is he acting this way?' Judy had been asking herself.
   The radio was still playing and the regular voice of DJ-Jay was playing. And he came on the air again and said," Now we have an anonymous carrot pen that has a strange recording on it that I think a certain bunny should listen to..," the radio show host said getting Judy's attention. That's when the pen played through the radio and said," I really do like her, but I've been hiding it because I don't know if she feels the same way."
   It was Nicks voice. And the show host suggested he was talking about her. That's when it all clicked in. Nick wasn't mad that she was talking to another mammal. He was jealous that she was talking to another mammal. He liked her. Maybe even loved her. Now Judy felt so stupid to push Nick like that and causing him to explode like that. Because what nick didn't know was that Judy was in love with him.

   Judy had ran into the ZPD and Clawhouser stopped her and asked her about what the radio said.
   "Not now been," Judy said as she ran towards Bogos office and asked were Nick was.
   "He just clocked out Hopps. Why? This wouldn't have anything to do with what the radio show said did it?" Bogo said with a raised brow.
   "Why do you ask?" Judy said. That's when Bogo leaned in closer.
   "Because I only have 2 hours left until I loose the bet. So I need you to go get that fox of your now so that I can get the money. Is that clear Hopps?"
   Judy was confused that the chief had bet on them.  If she couldn't question it right now. She nodded her head and was out in a flash.
    Having to run the whole way wasn't nothing she wanted but she had to. She got to the apartment 20 min. later and had to get her breath for a minute. Then she banged on the door.

   After Nick had asked the chief to go home early Nick was broken. He had just yelled at the bunny who he was in love with. Why would he do that? It was because he was jealous, and it killed Nick the know that he would probably never get the chance to tell her now.
   Then a knock came on the door," WHO IS IT!?"
   "It's me nick," Judy's voice came through the door," we need to talk open the door."
   "No." Nick said to her. He had completely forgot that she had a spare key. So she opened the door herself.
   "What do you want Judy."
   " I want you to call me Carrots. I want you to take me to that movie Friday. I want you to apologize for what you said today. I want you to forget about that rabbit. And I want you to to love me for the rest of my life."
   "What?," Nick had said when he heard her say that last part.
   "I heard from a little blue-birdie that you liked me. And Nick I love you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to marry you. I want to put you first in my life."
   That's when Nick stood up grabbed Judy and kissed her on the lips. He didn't care who disagreed with it anymore. He loved this bunny. And she was his now. And he wasn't going to let her go for all the blueberries in the world. 

AU-So what did you think. They finally found out their true feelings. And Finnick is a cool dude to do that for nick.
