It was second semester of freshman year when everything started to change. And I assure you, it wasn't for the better. Hope was going to begin homeschooling that semester, which left Parker, Lorelei, Callista, and I all sitting at one table.
From an outsiders perspective, you might be thinking, what's the big deal? What could go wrong between three teenage girls, and one teenage boy? ... A lot unfortunately.
Now before you start thinking, omg, this is some strange real life love square waiting to happen, right? Wrong. Parker, was in fact in a relationship at the time. Which put a damper on my plans indeed.
Slowly, but surely my feelings grew more and more for Parker Corn, but...he had a girlfriend. And I hated her. I didn't hate her for being his girlfriend really. It was how she treated him. I honestly felt like he deserved so much better. And I still think he does to this day.
However, in a sense I felt as though I was at a slight advantage because of some certain situations...yeah...
Basically there was a new student who decided she was gonna bring vodka to school in a water bottle. Well, Parker's girlfriend, along with another girl, took some of it, and acted drunk, trying to be funny. Well, in short, they got caught and sent to DAEP, an alternative school for bad children. You'd think that would have broken up their relationship, but it didn't. They still contacted each other through notes passed back and forth through her sister.
I tried asking him out, because I thought they were done. He told me he would say yes, but he was still dating THAT girl. But that didn't stop him from kissing Callista.
Well, I'd if you haven't already guessed, I wasn't the only one who hates his girlfriend. Both Callista and Lorelei didn't like his girlfriend much either. And in the middle of it all Callista came right in, and ended up kissing Parker at the skating rink one weekend.
At the time she had just gone through a horrible breakup, and he was in the process of trying to breakup with his girlfriend. He asked her out, but she said no, and was very rude to him in class and stuff.
Neither of them knew they would eventually pick up where they left off.
