The day passed on slowly.

It was a fairly hot day in the spring, a little past noon when you decided to go out for a walk.

You kicked the rocks on the sidewalk, sighing loudly.

You were expelled from school, because of an accident caused by your quirk.

The quirk you had was perceived as villainous and evil, according to society. You were mocked, scorned, and beaten because of it. You weren't depressed at all because of it, rather you were confused about why you were getting mistreated.

What was so bad about your quirk?

Why was it evil?

You only had the accident because a girl shoved you into a locker. Instinctively, you reached out your hand, grasping around her arm angrily. But your move had activated your quirk without meaning to. Eyes and a mouth popped up from her arm, as the arm moved against her own will, going crazy and injuring people in the process. With a bit of chasing and grabbing, you were able to remove your quirk from her arm, getting cuts and a bloody nose in the execution.

You never meant for anything like that to happen.

To be honest, the only reason why you weren't able to control your 'life giving' quirk was because you were a late bloomer. Your quirk only manifested two years ago and you haven't learned how to manipulate it.

You were in a swirl of confusion on what you should do in the future. Your quirk wouldn't be able to help anybody. Your quirk would hurt people instead.

Not looking at where you were going, you cross a street without noticing the flashing red traffic light. A truck headed towards you at full speed, honking at you. Finally looking up, you see a flash of green, suddenly being tackled onto the floor.

Being pulled abruptly made you dizzy, as you heard the screeching of tires and heavy breathing from above you.

"Are you two alright?!"

"Yes! We're fine!"

Your eyes finally adjust to your surroundings, as you were met with the face of a freckled boy, staring down at you concerned. He had sweat dropping from his temples, as his green locks cascaded over his soft features.

"Are you okay?"

You nod slowly, not being able to process the situation.

"What.... What happened?..."

He gets off of you frantically with a blush on his face, kneeling in front of you.

"Y-You crossed the street without looking and a truck was heading towards your way! S-So I happened to be passing by and saved you!"

You cocked your head, a look of indifference evident on your face.

"You.... saved me?... But why?"

He scratched the back of his neck, flustered at your flurry of questions.

"Isn't it a hero's job to save someone's life?"

Hero....

So this boy was a hero. But he looked too young to be one. He looked around your age.

"Say.... How old are you?"

"Fifteen. I'm guessing you are too."

He gets up, holding a hand out at you in the process. Hesitant, you get up yourself, not taking his hand.
