Your POV
I decided to wear a light blue dress to the dance. It matched Russel's tie, did I mention I was going with him~? I was a bit hesitant at first but I don't think I should hold the whole Cardin thing against him. Three strikes and he's out, he's got two left—AND DONE! Just in time for the dance. I have to start going soon. But where's Russel? He was supposed to be here a couple minutes ago......30 minutes ago....and 50 minutes ago....and now I'm an hour late.
Screw it, I'm going.
"You're a bit late, (Y/n). Guess you don't really care for these things, huh?" Yang questioned.
"That's not it." I shrugged.
"How about we dance?" Yang winked at me and grabbed my hand, leading me to the dance floor. I tried to keep up with her pace as best as I could.
After the song was over I thanked Yang and she gave me a kiss on the cheek and a wink, then sent me away with an 'Anytime!'
"Hey, cutie~" I heard the voice I dreaded to hear.
I turned around to face Russell.
"What?" I spat at him.
"Come on! We're both here and we both can dance so let's move those hips onto the dance floor."
"Can't."
"Why?"
"I'm already dating someone, I feel like this would be cheating." I smugly replied.
"Who?" He squinted his eyes at me, challenging me.
I glanced around the room; non of my team was there and I couldn't find Yang but my eyes landed upon Weiss, sitting alone and fixing the littlest of details.
"Weiss." I stated proudly.
"Prove it." He gave me that same challenging look so we walked over to Weiss.
"Heyyy, babe! Wanna dance?" I could hear Russel trying not to laugh.
"Babe?" Weiss questioned, her face burning.
"Yeah, what else would I call my gorgeous girlfriend?" I grabbed her hand, gently, and placed a quick kiss on it; bowing as I did so.
"May I have this dance, m'lady?" I smiled up at her and she nodded.
As we walked onto the dance floor I stuck my tongue out at Russel.
We danced through the first song and may I just say that my moves were on fire.
"It's a slow dance, let's sit down."
"Nah, let's dance." I gave her a childish grin and wrapped my arm around her waist, my other grabbing her hand. I lead her in the dance.
After that dance, we sat down, we were pretty tired.
"May I have this dance?" Weiss and I looked up and I saw some blue haired (fuck) boy asking Weiss to dance.
I felt mixed emotions stir through my stomach. Weiss looked at me as if asking for my permission.
I saw her smile and loving look in her eyes so I nodded my head and shooed her off.
I got up and went over to Yang who looked pretty disappointed.
"You okay?" I asked as I gently placed a hand on her shoulder.
"You jelly?" My voice softened and I tried not to laugh.
"You'll always be my favorite." I kept going until I saw her smile beam.
"So, if you don't mind me asking, what was wrong?"
"Weiss and you didn't make out!" I sighed and walked away from her, going far up the steps to prove my point.
I came across a balcony and just kinda stood there, staring at the night sky.
It was peaceful, it made me forget any of the troubles I've ever had before yet one thought snuck its way in 'Weiss and that blue haired guy'. No matter how many times I tried to forget the subject, I couldn't.
"What's on your mind, sweetheart?" I heard Russel's voice come closer to me as he spoke.
"Weiss." I admitted, sighing in defeat. If he wants to bully me; he might as well.
"Ah, she's a pretty one." I glared at him and he held his hands in the air as if proving he was unarmed (just like Yang did—get it? Too soon...?)
"Neptune and her seem to be flirting it up in there." I slumped as he said that, I can only imagine that Neptune was the blue haired guy.
"Steal your girl back!" Russel chuckled.
"I think I'm just gonna leave." I turned to leave but Russel said something that made me freeze up.
"It'll be too late once he gets her. He never gives up on a girl he thinks is cute; and she is a real looker. If you don't get Weiss soon, I'll take you for myself." I felt a shiver go down my spine and then I started walking once more.
Yang's POV
"Neptune, go dance with your gay friend." I gestured towards Sun and then started talking to Weiss once he walked off.
"Do you know where (Y/n) is?" She shrugged and I sighed.
"I haven't seen her since she went upstairs. I'm...worried." I owned up to my feelings and Weiss nodded and lead me over to the steps.
We reached the top and heard slight humming.
"(Y/N)!" I shouted yet someone added onto my sentence.
" 's boyfriend is right here!" The voice whistled out.
We walked out onto the balcony and found–guess who?–Russel! Of course.
"Where's (Y/n)?" Weiss asked; as kindly as she could (you can only imagine how nICE that really is).
"Oh, she went to her dorm." Russel shrugged as he continued to hum.
"Why?" Weiss asked again.
"Jealousy probably. Today wasn't too good for her." He took a long breath.
"Why?" This time I asked.
"First, I ditched her. Then her crush was dancing with some...person at the dance. Totally torn and heartbroken, she left. But I have a feeling that I'll be getting her soon and all because of a little conversation." His smile turned into a wicked smirk.
"Who?" I could tell Weiss was wondering if it was her or not.
"Lips are sealed. Word gets around and I'd rather have (Y/n)'s crush not get in the way of me smooching her." He chuckled.
"But that wouldn't be the first time." He let out a snort then let out a few more laughs, each increasing in volume.
"WHAT?!" Weiss's voice boomed with jealousy.
"Kidding, I didn't kiss your girlfriend."
"Good." Weiss didn't deny nor accept the fact that he referred to (Y/n) as her girlfriend. Even I was curious of her feelings.
Russel's eyebrow rose as he went to speak but was quickly cut off.
"And I'll be off now, I must not let my princess wait. Let me ponder for a few moments, you said 'smooch', correct? Well I shall do that to my princess." Weiss had a mocking tone in her voice but then I saw her set out.
"Wait! Weiss! I have so many questions!" I trailed behind her.
As we got to the last step, Neptune and Sun approached us.
"Hey, honey." Neptune greeted Weiss.
"No time. I must set off to my beloved princess." Weiss shoved him away.
"I must get back to my Blakey." I smirked and nudged Sun.
"NO FAIR!" He stomped his foot.
"And you're also too late, Neptune!" I smirked as Weiss headed for the door but I headed for Blake.
