-Ellie's POV-

When I woke up the next morning I felt the sun beating down on my skin and realized I forgot to close my curtains before I left last night.

Speaking of last night, I became saddened. My best friend of many years turned out to be gay, also with the bad boy. I don't see why I never realized it. Ian had always been one to know fashion; I just thought he liked dressing in nice, bright colors. When people at school would call him gay I always defended him. But I was only lying to myself the entire time.

I pushed my blankets down to the edge of my bed then leaned up. I leaned over and noticed the time on the clock. Oh my god, I'm late for work! "Shit, shit, shit." I yelled as I ran to the bathroom. I quickly took a shower then halfway dried my hair before pulling it into a decent side braid. I rushed around grabbing my deodorant and such then yelled for Colton to get the car warmed up.  I wrapped the towel tightly around my body then went to my room and put my uniform on. As I was putting on my black vans I texted my boss telling her sorry and that I was on my way.

The rest of the weekend went by in a blur, not that I’m complaining, but now it’s time for school. I honestly wasn’t ready for today.  So much has happened to me in just a few short days that I never thought would happen. Hopefully I can go back in the shadows of being a nobody because quite frankly, I hate attention. I was very unlike my brother. He was outgoing, funny, popular, into sports, and I just wanted to stay at home ignoring everyone. As I was walking out to my blue Sentra I heard my brother cussing from inside his car. “Colton?” I questioned knocking on his window. I backed up a few feet as he got out of his car and ended whoever he was on the phone with. “I’m going to have to ride with you today El, apparently I’m out of gas and didn’t realize it.” He sighed. “Oh, that’s fine. We just have to pick up Ian.” I sighed thinking of Ian. He nodded his head while sinking into the passenger seat of my car. “Hey um El, we need to talk.” I froze. “Ha ha, about what?” I nervously laughed. Oh god, please don’t bring up the picture please don’t bring –“I was told about the picture.” And he brought it up. I squirmed in my seat then replied, “Colton, can we please talk about this at home? I am not ready to talk yet.” He didn’t speak a word the rest of the way to school. I was nervous, what would my brother think of me know? Would he think I was like his little slut friends? I don’t want my brother to look at me different from a mistake I made.

I am going to talk to Evan today.

As we all got out of the car Ian walked over to me and just embraced me in a hug. What? “I’m so sorry for what the douche Evan did. He had absolute no right. I wasn’t at school Friday so I had absolute no idea until last night. I’m coming over tonight okay? We can eat pizza and watch a couple movies since I wasn’t able to be there for you Friday. Everything is going to be alright hunny.” He reassured me. That’s when I broke. I started crying onto his shoulder and he slowly rubbed circles up and down my back. Thank you was the only thing I could manage to croak out from my sobbing episode. I unwrapped my arms from his embrace and took a deep breath. Oh god, my makeup must be horrendous right about now.  “Now look at you, makeup everywhere. Girl, fix yourself then lets kick Evan’s ass at lunch!” Ian clapped his hands together. I sat back down in my car then fixed up my eyeliner. Once I was done Ian’s hand wrapped around mine and we made our way to first period.

Times like this I’m happy to have Ian as my best friend.

Throughout the day everyone was staring at me. Waiting for me to run away and hide from being in the spot light. But I won’t give them it. Sure it’s terrifying and awful what happened but I will not give them the reaction they’re wanting.

As the third lunch shift bell rang I got up from my desk and proceeded to walk to my locker as calmly as possible. Ian, oh what have you planned for lunch? As I reached my locker Ian was walking, more like speed walking, to me. “Are you ready for what I have planned Ellie?” He rubbed his hands together. I nodded while tossing my book into my One Direction/Justin Bieber poster covered locker then slowly shut it. “You’re going to throw todays lunch menu on him and pour tea on him. The bastard deserves so much more, but for now. This will do.” He grinned evilly. “Oh my god!” I busted out laughing. This is going to be great, I am so ready.
