As the final blow struck the last enemy standing, you could feel the thickness in the air begin to slowly vanish. "Good work, team!" Shouted Anna, she looked like a disaster after taking a critical blow from one of the enemy mages. Gunter and Alfonse approached the young red headed commander, "Yes, an excellent fight indeed...but my dear commander, you are in no shape to continue..." Pointed out Gunter "Yes, Anna, I'm afraid he's correct" added Alfonse. Anna, despite her pain stood upright with a grimace and looked over at the summoner, they quietly nodded their head, agreeing with the others comments. Defeated Anna felt her body begin to collapse, however, before she could reach the ground Gunter got a hold of her "I knew it..." He groaned "Summoner, we should've never brought her here! She could've gotten herself killed!" The anger inside him slowly rose, not because he was angry at you but because you allowed one of the weakest to join a battle.
You nodded, grabbing the hood and pushing it back to reveal their features " You're right Gunter, I apologize....I wasn't thinking clearly.." They approached Anna who was being held up by Gunter and Alfonse "I'm sorry Anna but I cannot afford to loose anyone, I'll have to switch you for someone stronger..." Anna nodded weakly "It is alright...I understand.." You sighed and turned to face Gunter "Let her ride your horse, and we'll all walk back to base" he nodded "Understood milady" he bowed his head in respect and began helping Anna onto his stallion.
You turned to face Virion, "I need you and Alfonse on high alert, alright?" He nodded, "Excuse me summoner....but...what for?" Asked Alfonse "I don't want any surprise attacks on Gunter or Anna that's why I need you two to watch out for any trouble." You straightened yourself whilst talking, Alfonse quickly nodded "Ah, yes...my apologies" you shook your head "No need to apologize, now let's get going..."
*5 Hours later, the team finally arrives at the base*
When you had all arrived Anna was thankfully given quick medical attention, you decided that this would be an excellent time to tell one of your allies that you needed them to replace Anna on the battlefield, Tiki stood forward "May I travel with you, summoner?" You grinned "Yes you may, Tiki" she giggled happily and walked forward to you. You were glad to have not only have her on your side but also the others, they're all very loyal and glad to help aid your cost.
You decided that you needed a rest and began walking to your quarters, when suddenly you stopped dead in your tracks. 'What are you thinking you fool-...' Is that Virion? Who is he talking to? You decide to stop quietly by his door and eavesdrop 'The summoner could never love you...no...perhaps they are married to their job or they've laid eyes on another soul, but yours? I fear not...' You bit your lip. 'He has a crush on me? How long? And...why hasn't he said anything to me yet?' You were going to open the door until Virion shut it from the inside. You quietly sighed, and began walking back to your room 'I've always had feeling for him...but...I never knew he felt the same way...is it my fault for not saying anything?' You quietly thought this to yourself as you walked back to your room. 'Maybe....I can tell him tomorrow?...' You sighed 'hopefully..'.
*The next day at 8:30am*
You had woken up usually at the time that Virion does, you knew that this would be the best time to confess your feelings to him as you knew that the two of you would be alone. Exiting your room, you walked around searching for Virion. Where is he? He's not at his camp...did he leave? You bit your lip in worry and walked quicker, hoping to find him.
Suddenly your body makes contact with someone else, you were looking to your left the whole time before falling so you never saw who it was. That is until you went to apologize and saw him, Virion, just staring at you. "I-" the two of you spoke up in unison, this made you both laugh. "I'm sorry Virion, are you ok?" He nodded "Yes, indeed I am.." You stood up and extended a helping hand to Virion. He gingerly took it and lifted himself up, now that you two were finally up and on your feet you decided to tell him. As soon as you opened your mouth so did his, you grinned "You go first" you offered, he shook his head "I'm afraid you should speak first" you nodded, "Virion....I...I'm sorry.." This shocked him "What for my dear?" You sighed "For not telling you the truth all along, I loved you from the start and ever since then I was too afraid to express my feelings to you because I was afraid you would reject me ...or worse..." You looked away.
Virion's expression softened, with a gentle gloved hand he grabbed your chin and made you face him 'My dear....if you will... I too have felt this way for along time, and I too was afraid of what you might say...but I can tell you now that I am significantly better that you told me this...Summoner...I love you..." He breathed nervously "I need you , so
will you be mine?" You nodded happily and hugged him tightly, he smiled and kissed you softly, you kissed back in the heat of the moment.
*somewhere hidden across from you and Virion*
'Oh I told you that they had a thing for each other!' Whispered Tiki , a soft sigh came from Robin, he couldn't believe that he just lost a bet to her. 'Fine....fine...here you go..' He handed her twenty silver coins 'Now leave me alone...' Grumbled Robin. Tiki softly giggled 'I told you I'd win!'
