Anything in Italics from this point on (unless otherwise specified) will be flashback moments from when Olivia was younger (i.e. when she met Hook). Enjoy!

"What's your name, lass?" The man before me speaks, his accent sounds sweet, but the men cowering away from us on his ship suggest otherwise.
"Why should I tell you, pirate?" I spit out, defiant even in my young age.
"Well, I'm Killian Jones, but many have taken to calling me Hook. Captain Hook." He gives me a soft smile, though I can't tell if he's being genuine. "And aye, I may be a pirate, but I have a heart, despite what you may have been lead to believe. You're safe here, you have my word, love."
"Olivia. My name is Olivia."

"Olivia, come on, open the door." Emma's voice reaches me easily, as I sit on the couch in the same position I've been in for the past three days.
"Just leave me alone, Emma." I shout back, hoping she'll listen but knowing it is highly unlikely. It's silent for a moment, and suddenly, the door swings open. "I knew I shouldn't have given you a key." I sigh, sinking further into my couch cushions.
"Come on, get your ass up, get in the shower, and get to looking hot because we're going out tonight." She grins widely, clearly pretending to be over enthusiastic for my benefit.
"Or I could stay here and watch movies all night. Yeah, I like that idea much better." My words cause Emma to groan in annoyance as she steps in my view of the TV.
"It wasn't a request. I know you're upset and-"
"I'm fine." I cut her off immediately, my voice emotionless, as it tends to be when it comes to my attempts at 'dealing' with my emotions. "I just don't want to do the whole human interaction thing right now."
"For the first time in ten years you let someone, a man mind you, get close to you, to gain your trust and break down the walls you've put up to protect yourself. Yeah, Hook sucks and he broke that trust, but I've never seen you let anyone near you since him. I don't trust him and I may never, but maybe Hook came back into your life to help you heal." She tries, though I can't help but just shrug off her words.
"Emma, I don't need to heal. Not from Jonathan, not from Hook, not from anyone. I'm fine, an emotionless, cold hearted bitch maybe, but I'm fine." When she uncontrollably giggles at my words, I can't help but smile along with my best friend.
"You're not emotionless or cold hearted. You may be able to fool other people, but you'll never be able to fool me, Liv. I won't force you to come out tonight, but know that if you ever need to talk, I'm here. And I won't ever judge you for having emotions, because contrary to what you seem to believe, it's actually pretty normal to be hurt when those you love betray you." With that, she gives me a soft smile before ducking out of my apartment.

"Killian!" I shout out as I reach the deck of the ship, skipping along as I pass all the men who give me smiles or a "good morning" as I make my way to the Captain.
"Good morning, Princess." He gives me a cheeky grin and I can't help but mimic it.
"Kil, I told you, I'm not a princess in this land."
"Aye, but you're on my ship, and here, you're a princess, love." A giggle escapes my lips, my nine year old self swooning at the man before me. The silly little crush was ridiculous, but Killian was the first man to show me kindness after I portaled to the new realm, and he has certain charms that could make any girl melt at his feet.
