"What do you want?" I asked Xavier as he plumped into the seat next to me.

"We need to get this assignment done," he smiled with a twinkle in his chocolate-brown eyes. The sun was probably shining a bit too bright behind me.

"I told you. I can do it all at home. It's no big deal," I shrugged, however that wasn't good enough for him.

"Come on. Haven't we already discussed this?"

"Yes. And like every other jock at school, you guys only care about getting girlfriends and who the other one 'did' the night before, not some task that doesn't even go towards our grade." I said and turned towards the window fork a quick second.

"I thought you never judged a book by a cover, Audrey," He stated and crossed his arms like a child and turned the other way. "Meanie," he called from over his shoulder.

"Oh my gosh I'm talking to a two year old," I said and he let out a laugh, breaking character.

"Come on. What will it take to do this assignment together?" He pleaded.

"For you to beg on your knees, child," I laughed. However my smile dropped when he started lowering himself on the ground, not breaking eye contact. "I didn't think you would actually do it," I say stunned. He's lucky there were only a few more people on this bus.

"Can we please do the project together?" He smiled.

"Fine! Whatever, let's go to your place."

"Uh, that's not going to be an option," he said sitting down next to me again.

"Why not?"

"Mum has a lot of guests for her business at her house. Can we go to yours?"

"Okay, why not. Jasper isn't going to be home until late and when we finish, we can watch a movie," I thought out loud.

"Perfect!" He clapped. "Who's Jasper?" I rolled my eyes and smiled.

"He's my brother, dork!" I laughed. His mouth then opened which made an 'o' shape.

On the way back, he told me a bit about himself. I found out that he's only ever had two relationships that weren't serious and he actually cares about his grades but soccer is holding him back. He texted his mum back a while ago to let her know that he was going over a friend's house for an assignment.

We finally reached the front of my small, yet modern house.

"That bus drive keeps on getting longer and longer," I laughed.

"Oh, tell me about it," Xavier smiled as we begun to walk up the driveway.

"And done!" I exclaim as I drop the pencil on the desk dramatically.

"Oh, thank the lord," he yelled as he threw his hands up in the air. "So, what movie are we going to watch?"

"Good idea," I ran over to the movie cabinet and pulled out a couple of selections. "So there's Twilight?"

"Nah, too girly."

"Think Like a Man?"

"I've seen it too many times."

"The Grudge?"

"But, like, if I watch a scary movie, I get nightmares!" He said in a high pitched voice, in a pose and twirled an invisible strand of hair.

"The Grudge it is then."

Before I slotted the movie into the DVD player, I ran over to the pantry, pulled out two small unopened jars of Nutella and two spoons (I wasn't sharing). I flicked the lights off and placed the two jars on the coffee table in front of us. His eyes lit with joy and instantly leaped out to grab it.
