Was this a dream ? ... you decide

A night of horror

Imagine a night where your heart thumps as you lie in bed , your door creeks open...shut...open...shut, every second, and you see a dark shadow, you can hear screams coming from downstairs : this is happening to me right this very moment . Trust me , you'd be numb with fear if you were in my bedroom .

I repeatedly feel ice cold shudders travel down my spine . I feel I'm falling down a never-ending hole . All my weight forces me down , down , down , all my thoughts weigh me deeper into the hole . My heart is sinking , I can't feel my hands or feet , it's like my whole entire body has been buried in piles of ice. I feel as though all my liberation is melting away, like a devil is throwing a fiery ball of anxiousness at my soul.

I scramble out of bed and tip toe tentatively down the spiral staircase. I cautiously make my way through the hallway investigating every cupboard . My stomach is churning with emotions . I'm starving now , I've been trying to sleep now for four whole hours! I open the old , creaky cupboard and reach my hand rummaging around for snacks , but i reach my hand further and further into the cupboard until-
Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I just can't help myself , my jaw drops and I let out a blood curdling scream . I c-can't believe it , there's a-a-a-a GHOST !!

I take a deep breath and shut my eyes , hoping to open my eyes and this will all be over , but as my eye lids lift , the ghost is right against my insipid face , following me every time I run away . I feel an unexpected touch of anger plummet like stones down from my head to my feet . My eyes glow with broiling blazes making my whole body sink into a trance .

All of a sudden I happen to be in a cobweb-filled cellar . My mind is swirling with terrifying thoughts : What if I pass out because I'm struggling to breathe ? Why on earth do I feel like I'm going to have a serious panic attack ? Why am I in a spacious cellar that looks as though it will never end ? What shall I do ?

It's time to face the ghost !
