Chapter 19 - Life And Death

HELVISA'S POV

They say, life after death are much more sentimental than the one they have in real life. They say that death are not the end, it's the beginning of a whole lot of different and excited journey through the depth of a world beyond your wildest imagination. Are those what I'm witnessing right now?

Where am I? Am I even alive? The last thing I remembered was summoning my powers to cast a spell on Gloria's corpse. I never dreamt of feeling the need to help my own enemy in the end. War suppose to end with someone die, not helping them to live again. Am I turning to a human like Gisele? What if I lost my grip on the belief I always believed on and that is the world is cruel and the only reason for my existence is to kill?

"Hello... anyone out there?" Who am I kidding?

I looked around the cold, pitch black place and wonder where am I? I never recalled being in here before. "You're the one who killed me." I was surprised when someone touched my shoulder. When I turned, it's Gloria, rubbing her bump. "I never get to see this child." She chuckled. "At least Valika is alive, right?" I nodded.

"I'm glad. I never loved someone so dearly before. She will find someone better than I am." What ... have I done? "I'm sorry." Was all I said. She giggled. How can someone giggle at the time like this? "What's funny?" Gloria smiled. "You. You're funny. Why are you apologising?" For starter, I just killed you. "I took away your happiness." Gloria tilted her head. "It's okay. From the moment the war started, mama warned me about death."

She must meant Helmine. "Don't you feel you need to kill Helmine? She's been abusing you for so long." She seems confused. "Abusing? What do you mean?" I pointed out all of her bruises and wounds. "Mama never lay a hand on me. She force me to take martial arts. She's a great mother you know. Beside, these are not from martial. It was from sex. What mommy did was cruel and I don't blame her for what she did to my own mother. She's more of a mother than my late biological mother."

I don't think I ever heard someone said mother so many times before. "Why are you here anyway? Are you dead too?" I shake my head. "From the looks of this place, its probably your empty vessel. The place where your souls and memory were kept. And I'm here to bring you back to life." Gloria was astounded. "It's not possible for someone who died to be alive again." She bantered. "Wanna bet? Of course, that man in white will hate me for disturbing the equal balance of life and death. But let me think about those. You, just have to stay calm and relax."

I kneel down and bite on my fingers. Using the blood from my fingers, I began to draw a spell site for a ritual. I never tried doing this spell before but I need to make sure I succeed. "Stand in the middle of the circle." I instructed. "Make sure to not move out of the circle, if you do, your limbs will be in here for eternity. It's easier for me to not using my full power because your not a full pledge vampire." I felt sweat began to formed on my forehead.

"Stand still." I said before stabbed the pitch black floor with both of my hands. She suddenly held her head from the pain I inflicted. "Don't move! I'm sorry, but it's the only way!" I yelled before chanted my spells. By this moment, I'm sure he's waiting for me at the present world. The only reason I'm able to live in this world because I didn't use the power he gave me since I was born. Once he know where I am, he will come for me.

But for now, I don't want to think about myself. I want to save this girl and her child. I have done so much destruction, at least I could save an unborn child. "Close your eyes, relax..." I said and closed my own eyes. All that I can remember is that I opened my eyes on Gisele's arms. "How.... is she?" I asked out of breath. Smokes began to came out from my body as I took a breather for a second.

"She's okay. She's breathing. You've done a great job. I am so proud of you Helvisa. But, you need to rest for now. No more reckless action okay?" Helvisa nodded. I rest my head on my mate's chest. "I miss them." Helvisa poking Gisele's breast left and right. "Nice pillow. I want... now.." I know Gisele probably blushing hard right now. I did just played with her breast in front of everyone.
