"Uungh-.."

My throat gargled with a burning sensation, as if I was blazing from inside. I left it though; I thought the pain was necessary.

Water slowly trickled down my face as I held a jug of the dirty liquid above myself. It burned my insides like hell itself was invading my body.

Once I ran out, I placed the jug down with a slam, (Y/n) turning on the floor in a response. My vision was a little more clear now that I washed most of the excess ink off of my face. I'm sure it washed some of my features off though. I didn't want (Y/n) to wake up to a messed up monster, but it was the only face she was gonna see until I find a way to get my face back in shape.

As for my body, well... I'll need to whip up a new one soon. There was no turning back once I turned.

(Y/n) stirred around, stressed noises escaping from her lips. I don't blame her for being stressed; the last thing she had seen was a monster.

The black liquid leaking from my abyss of a body dripped onto her face as I stood over her immobile physique, admiring her distinguished features. She was the perfect representation of a lady to me; yet I haven't interacted with one in what seemed like ages. (Y/n) was just a perfect lady. Well, girl. I couldn't tell the difference anymore.

(Y/n)'s body folded into itself before she actually awoke in an alarmed state, her eyes filled with sheer fright. The sheets around her were tangled in a maze around her body, wrapping her in a protective hold.

My breathing was suddenly in a heavy, slow pace. My 'chest' inflated, then deflated with a long 2 second delay.

Her (e/c) eyes trailed across the room until they reached me, her pupils retracted to adjust to the sudden light hitting their fragile frame. The shading of the room covered her eyes as they gazed at me, the small shining acting as the only indication that they were still open.

Her body was frozen in a mermaid pose as her arm held her delicate soul up. Her hand shook when her broken mind came into contact with the harshness of reality, realizing her last memory.

I felt the need to take action. I calmly made my way towards her, of course, with a careful attitude. Her body trembled with each step I took, my feet not fully regenerated just yet. With all of the washed off ink, my body was just as skinny as a pencil.

Her eyes noted it themselves, as she was no longer distracted with me as a being. It was my shape that temporarily filled her mind with questions.

"An attempt." I spoke softly. Her eyes spoke for her, as her mouth was sealed shut. Currently, her eyes were throwing me a dusky, but questioning look.

"Attempt?" Her voice was raspy. She was dehydrated. Days in a workshop such as mine wasn't a simple walk in the park.

"Attempt," I confirmed with a sure voice, "I didn't want you to see me the way I was, but it doesn't matter now. You aren't running off into the hills," (Y/n) cocked her head, but only to a slight angle. Her eyes gleamed with confusion and a fraction of rage.

"(Y/n)," her expression didn't change in the slightest, "I need you to do me a favour." I quietly demanded.

"A favour? Bendy, what could I possibly do for you?" Her dulcet voice had been breached by a brittle tone.

"Hush now," I placed my cold, inky hand on her leg; a sign of calmness, "I only want you to help me with my body. My physique. My frame," I continued on frantically with synonyms of the word body, trying to get the message to her. She caught the message straight away.

"You.." she hesitated, her eyes suddenly losing all of its harshness, "you need me to rebuild your body, don't you? With.. ink..?" Her voice cracked as she called me into question. I only nodded in response.

"If it's too big of a challenge for you, I can stay like.. this.." I stated. She huffed in frustatration, the pink on her cheeks turning a slight shade of red.

"Watch, I'll fix your stupid face."
