Chapter 3: Andy
"Why the heck would they spy on you?"
"How am I supposed to know?" Kyra snapped. "I'm sorry I just have been a little creeped out. Sky Tribe never leave their camp. I mean never. They're always up there. Not in any of the other Tribes' problems at all."
"Kyra. Calm down." I said soothingly. "Maybe now isn't the time to talk about this. Later when we're alone. Is that ok?"
"Yeah, it's fine." She said.
"Hey, butthead!" It was Dex. "Come throw some knives!"
"Ok. I will be right over. Set up some targets." I said and began to walk over to him. The targets were set and so was I. I lined myself up with the targets. I took a deep breath and looked at my target. I released my knife. It hit the target head on. I spun again, this time releasing 3 knives. They all hit target, too. I turned to Dex and Kenya and grinned.
"Showoff." Kenya said with a laugh.
"Hey guys!" I turned around to see Emma and Josh hand in hand walking toward us.
"We're gonna head out on a patrol and we need two more people."
"Andy and I can go." Kenya said quickly.
"I got some stuff I have to do. Why don't you and Dex go?"
"Ok." Kenya said, sounding a little hurt.
"I'll tell you later." I said and grinned at Kenya again.
"Ok," Kenya said again. This time not sounding hurt, and walked off with Dex. I turned to Kyra and she motioned to head to her cabin. I understood and followed her. I closed the door behind me.
"So what do you want to do about this?"
"I don't know. Maybe she wasn't even looking at me or for me maybe we're blowing this thing way out of proportion. We should just act like nothing happened and see what happens from there."
"Ok."
The rest of the day went fine for me. I spent most of it with Kenya and Dex. That night after eating, I went to Kenya and Kyra's cabin to talk about the Tribes.
"The Fire Tribe seems to be crossing the line a little." I started, "I think they attacked Water Tribe and Energy Tribe in the last few days."
"Yes, I agree." Kyra added. "Whenever there is any kind of peace they have to run in and ruin it!" Just then Dex walked in.
"Hey guys can I join the conversation?" He asked, already knowing the answer.
"Heck no get out!" I said and we both laughed.
"What are we talking about?" Dex asked and sat on the bed we were all on.
"The Fire Tribe." Kenya answered in disgust.
"Oh, I heard we were supposed to attack them soon."
"What?!" Everyone responded at once.
"Yeah." He responded "And it might be soon. Let's go talk to Vincent about it." Everyone left except for Andy and Kenya.
"So what did you want to talk to me about?" Kenya asked.
"Yeah. Do you ever think that we should be more than friends?" I said, looking into her eyes
"Yeah... I have. And I really want to be." she said. "We would have to keep it a secret though. My parents don't really like you or Kyra. They think you're freaks."
"Yeah I know." I said but I couldn't help the smile breaking on my face. "So are we like a thing now?"
"Yes. Yes, we are." She instantly put her arms around me and kissed me.
"I have been waiting a long time for that." She said, looking up at me.
