"More guards coming soon." The purple haired man said.
"W-wait! What's y-your name?" I ask.
"Andy" The purple haired man stated bluntly. "Figures you wouldn't remember."
"We have to find Sam." Max said, redirecting the conversation.
"And Red." Andy added. "They're supposed to be operating together."
"What? Who?" I ask, confused by this new information.
"Sam, and Red." Andy repeats. "Friends of ours."
"Tunnels. Go. NOW!" Max growled. The fire in his hand steadily grew in intensity. "I'll hold them off for a few minutes. Andy you get him out of here."
Andy shoved me to the ground, narrowly missing a crossbow bolt to the shoulder. A flash of blue caught my eye as Max hurled something at the soldiers coming down the hall.
I tried to stand, but Andy was on top of me, his full weight on my back. After many more desperate attempts, Andy finally rolled off of my back, but barely moved once he was lying by himself. He looked me in the eyes, then pushed me back towards my cell.
"Tunnels are in your cell, Zak. Left corner when you enter. Get down there and run. Don't look back." Max shouts, stepping over Andy without a glance in my direction.
As I re-enter the cell, I kneel down in the left corner, clearing away old straw and dust. I heave open the trapdoor, and as I'm about to drop down, a flash of green blinds me.
Andy runs into the cell, spots me, and pushes me down into the tunnels.
The last thing I see is Andy pushing the door closed.
