**Caleb's POV**
"Scoundrel! How many times do I tell you not to blow the place until I say so!" I exclaimed in fury.
"Sorry Captain," Scoundrel said and scurried after Corkscrew and Yellow-tail. The damn pyromaniac was smart to stay out of my way just then.
"Patch! Jewel! Who's boat is that?" I called pointing at the tiny thing that read The Dagger in red print.
"No idea Souls!" Jewel yelled back to me.
"Bet its Natives from Austria." Patch commented.
"Australia Patch," Jewel corrected him.
"Well let's give them a good and warm introduction shall we?" I asked squinting to see where the Natives might be.
We pulled in closer and I had Cork drop the anchor so we could go ashore. The fog was settling in so my ship, The Nightlock, would be well hidden.
Once we stepped onto the shore, I heard yelling and walked towards it leaving my crew behind me.
Three Natives were all yelling and staring at the entrance to a cave. They were yelling something like "Llama." Why would they be calling for a Llama? The closer I got, I realized they were saying Lanna. Realization dawned on me then. Someone was still in there!
I went around the back and slipped in through a crevice. Water was flowing out through it but not fast enough. Hopefully this person named Lanna wasn't still in here.
I continued to go in and saw a body under the water. I was treading through water up to my waist. My eyes raked over her body and noticed how beautiful she was. A sudden thought hit me and I pushed it back. She couldn't be dead... Somehow I had to get her out of here.
I submerged myself into the water and saw her foot was caught between some rocks. That must have been why she couldn't get out. I caused her to be like this! Well Scoundrel did really... Boy was I going to chew him out for this.
The rocks were pretty tight but her foot was small, so after a few tries it came out from under. I pushed up towards the surface and found very little room to breathe. This wouldn't be a problem because I go diving a lot while holding my breath. I guess you could say that was the pirate within me. We had many specialties, like not needing to breathe underwater. On the other hand, I have no idea how long this girl could hold her breath.
We finally got to the entrance I had come from and I was fearing that she was already dead. Her skin was almost translucent and her delicate lips were blue.
"What do I do, give her to her friends or do I rescue her first. Guess I should revive her."
I pulled my jacket off and took her clothes off to sigh when I saw she at least had a bathing suit on. I put my jacket on her and pushed her auburn hair from her eyelids. Her pulse was slow but it was at least still there for the moment.
"Forgive me Lanna," I whispered before placing my lips on hers. Repeatedly I performed CPR until she opened her eyes and started choking.
I sat back and watched as she regained her senses. Her bright grey eyes stared at me in confusion.
"Mason?"
"Um, no. My name is Caleb, I heard your friends calling for you so I dove in to save you..."
She blinked hard and continued to stare at me as if I hadn't spoken a word.
"Sorry I'm confused. Who did you say you were?"
"Caleb Souls," I said smiling.
"How... Never mind. Thank you Caleb. Do my friends know you saved me?"
