"Mom! Mom! Where are you going? Don't leave please I'll be a good girl, I promise. I'll brush my teeth everyday and not steal money from your purse to go buy candy at Winston's."
I begged at my mom's silhouette, she was fading, leaving me and my dad. She didn't even look back and gave me her reassuring smile. She didn't she just kept on walking and walking, fading and fading.
I cried when she vanished fully and turned back to look for comfort on dad's arms, only dad wasn't dad anymore. Dad was pale, lifeless, and blood dripped from his eyesockets.
I gaped at him horrified. I was frozen in terror, I didn't have the courage to run nor scream it was like I was paralyzed in place.
As soon as my courage went back, I tried to look for help. I was screaming my ass out for help and the tears in my eyes didn't help. My vision was blurry and I didn't notice the strings aiming for me and when I did it was too late they've already coiled around my neck. I was out of breath by then due to my tears and the lack of breath caused by the strings.
"Help, please." I mumble feeling the last strength in me fade.
"Zary--- ZARY WAKE UP! WAKE UP!"
I bolt upright then tears streams down my face, it was my dad he was alright.
"It's alright sweetheart everything's fine. Shush everything's alright."
