Sans realized he slept till it was night. He woke up, not feeling sleepy anymore. He took his jacket and went downstairs quietly, not wanting to wake up his brother. He went out as he felt the cold win hit his face. He walked towards the park. He needs some time to think. Why was I stupid? Sans thought. Why didn't I tell her the truth? Sans doesn't know honestly. He doesn't know why he wants to keep it a secret. At least...he doesn't remember. Frisk doesn't know that his memories only come slowly. When he was a child, he had helped Gaster with his experiments. And during those times, he would have visions of a girl with shoulder length brown hair. One time, he asked Gaster about the visions.
"Dr. G?" Sans said as he followed Gaster to his lab. "I'm having...weird visions of a girl lately" Gaster stopped. He glanced at Sans with interest in his eyes.
"Yes, continue" Gaster said eagerly.
"Well...that's it. It's a little blurry though" Sans said, questioning why is Gaster interested in this. Gaster nodded and continued walking towards his lab, Sans following from behind.
"Tell me as soon as possible when you see more visions...of this girl you speak of"
The memory sent shivers down his spine. Because that's the same day his father, Gaster, was ripped out of existence. Only Sans remembers him, he decided not to talk about it. Sans seemed to be lost in his thoughts when he stepped on something. He looked down as he raised his foot.
Dust.
He stumbled back, shock and confusion in his eyes. "It couldn't be..." Sans said to himself. It couldn't. There's no blood. Sans thought. He tried to shook the thought off as he tried to ignore the dust. He continued to walk, but his mind was full of questions.
Where did the dust come from?
If it is, why would someone kill at this hour?
Is it Chara...?
Plus, the dust is new. By now the wind should've blown it away a while ago. This made Sans' defense rise. He arrived at the park. He gasped in horror at the sight he saw.
Blood.
Dust.
At the bench where he usually sits, something was written in blood. He walked a bit closer as he squinted his eyes. He's not gonna walk any further when he knows bloodshed just happened.
"Hi Sans. Enjoying the view of your fellow monsters' blood and dust?"
Sans stumbled back. He teleported back at his house and ran up the stairs. He opened the door to Papyrus' room. He sighed in relief when he saw him sleeping peacefully. Sans walked over to him and sat on the edge of his bed. This is getting too far. He has to protect his brother without taking his freedom away. He walked back to his room. Before closing the door, he glanced back at his brother. He sighed and walked back to his room. He closed the door and locked it like he always does.
What if I call Frisk? Sans thought as he took his phone. He found Frisk's contact and pressed the call button. It rang. But she didn't answer.
"Hi! This is Frisk—AND CHARA—HEY! Don't forget about me! Asriel! Sorry! I'm out for the mean time. And I'm probably hanging out with these bozos right now. Please leave a message!"
