All of the applicants were lead to some chairs on one side of the room while Got7 sat on the other side. The camera men were in the back filming and cuing the members what to do wand when.
JB, as the leader, stood up and spoke to the camera first. "Annyeonghaseyo! Today all of Got7 will pick a paper from a jar that has an applicant's name on it to determine who will be our partners for the rest of the show. I will start!"
He walked up to the jar that was placed in front of the camera and closed his eyes, turning away funnily for the camera, while deciding which paper to pick. Eventually he chose one, but didn't open it yet. Jackson came next and picked one without thought and smiling at the camera. Bambam came next then Mark, Jinyoung, Youngjae, and lastly Yugyeom.
They all sat down and watched except for JB, who opened his paper first. "Lee Hyejin!!!"
A cute, chubby girl shyly stood up and raised her hand. "I'm Lee Hyejin." JB walked up to her and hugged her with a smile. "It's nice to meet you. I'm JB." We all laughed. He took her arm and lead her over to the other side of the room next to him while Hyejin blushed.
Meanwhile in my distracted mind...*Hyebum? Hyejae? Jinbum? Hmmmmm....I GOT IT!!! Jaejin!!! Oh I'm so smart.* I smiled smugly. They were just too adorable together.
During this Jackson stood up and opened his paper. "KIM YOUNGMI!!!"
A pretty, short girl stood up quietly. She smiled and raised her hand, "Here." She walked over calmly as Jackson gave her a huge hug and jumped up and down.
Bambam read aloud, "Ahn Jongsoo." He looked up surprised at a boy's name. Jongsoo, who I met earlier, stood up with a smile and walked over towards Bambam. "Wassap maaan!!!" Bambam yelled, giving him a fist-pump. Well, at least they were happy.
Mark was next. I could faintly hear a girl squealing next to me, hoping she was picked. "Kim Jaehwa", he said calmly, looking for her face. The girl next to me was about to faint in giddiness. I was happy for her as it gave me hope that my bias had picked my card too.
As they walked towards the other partners Jinyoung opened his paper. "Nam Soyoung."
My heart rate hat shot up to the sky. I couldn't breathe! How could anyone be calm in this moment?! I'm sure everyone could see me sweating and praying internally that Youngjae would pick me! He stepped up ever so slightly. Everything seemed to be in slow motion. Oh why can't he just hurry up?! I had a 50 50 chance of being chosen. I was about to scream, I couldn't take it anymore.
"Bang Choonhee!!!"

My heart almost stopped. I couldn't show that I was disappointed, because that wouldn't be fair to Yugyeom and I wouldn't hurt any of their feelings for the world. I watched, hopefully without anyone noticing, how Choonhee slipped up to a happy Youngjae. If she looked like a brat, I could have taken it better, but she had to look like someone I would be friends with! I was happy Youngjae got someone so happy and sweet looking.I looked at Yugyeom smiling at me and gave him what I hoped looked like a genuine smile. Don't get me wrong, I love Yugyeom and am so glad to be on this show, but anyone would have a hard time asking emotions when their bias picked someone else, though not on purpose.
"Rose!!!" He came bounding up to me like a big puppy and it took all of my willpower not to pat his head (if I could reach it). This time my smile was genuine. How could anyone not be happy if this baby giant came up to you, yelling your name in such joy. I have no idea why he looked so happy to have me as his partner, but his smile washed away any fears that I would have a hard time with my partner. We would be great friends, I was sure of it.
Too soon we were ushered out by the crew to another room. Laughter and animated talking could be hard down that hallway loud and clear. "How long have you been in Korea?" I just realized that Yugyeom had asked me a question. I looked up. "Two years now."
"Do you plan on staying for a while, or was it just for studies?"
"So far I have no plans of moving out even though I am done with my studies."
I swear I saw him smile a bit at that, but I can't exactly tell. Maybe it was the lighting. I turned to him again. "Be honest. Did you want to do this show when the company first told you about it?" I saw the hesitation on his face. "Don't worry. I won't be mad or tell anyone."
"Honestly I was scared when I was first informed. I had no idea we would help in choosing the participants, so I thought we would be mobbed by seven crazy fan girls." He chuckled lowly.
"You got to help pick us? So one or more of you picked me for the show? Who was it???" I was messing with him, but also very curious. At least one of the members liked my video enough to choose me.
Yugyeom laughed. "I'm not telling you that yet. You have to figure that out yourself!"
"Fine then you won't get to know who my bias is!"
He turned to me quickly with a pout. "Why?! Tell me! Tell me!"
I never knew he could be playful like this. I giggled, "Anyo!"
Although a bit saddening, this day was the best day of my life so far. I was getting to talk and play with Got7 personally. This was every fangirl's dream!
