Rain woke up to the sound of his alarm going off. He looked over and saw it was 5:00. He then looked at Yuki, who was still sound asleep. He couldn't help but smile when he looked at her. He couldn't explain why, but when he looked at her, he couldn't help but feel overwhelming happiness. She made him believe that there was hope left for this cruel and unforgiving world. As thoughts like these were racing through Rain's head, Yuki had woken up and was now staring at him. He noticed after a little while and began to blush, "Good morning Yuki," He said softly. She smiled and wrapped her arms around him, "Good morning Rain." Rain went back to being lost in thought. He didn't remember telling Yuki his name. He sat for a minute thinking of how she could know it. He did work at a radio station so she could've got it from that. "The lady at the store told me your name." Yuki explained, Almost as if she knew what he was thinking. Rain just brushed it off and pushed it to the back of his mind. "So," Rain started, "Do you want to go get breakfast?" Yuki excitedly jumped out of bed and said yes, so Rain also got up and they got into his truck. As he was driving to a café he knew about, Yuki turned on the radio and started singing to country songs. A smile grew on Rain's face as he took her hand. He couldn't believe how quickly he could have gone from wanting to cut every night to not even having the thought cross his mind All because of this girl. This ray of sunshine that saved him from his own darkness. Rain shook his head and tried to focus on driving. After twenty minutes of driving they arrived at a simple café. Rain and Yuki walked in, but  as they walked in Yuki asked where the bathroom was. Rain pointed it out and said he'd get them a seat. Rain walked up to the counter and got 2 coffees and a breakfast sandwich. He didn't plan on eating, but wanted for Yuki to eat something. As he sat down Yuki walked towards him and sat with him. He told her that he had gotten the sandwich for her and also a coffee for her. She frowned slightly. "What are you going to eat?" She asked, worried. "I don't usually eat breakfast," Rain explained. After a couple minutes of talking it over she had convinced Rain to at least eat half of the sandwich. After they were done, the guy at the counter walked over and looked at Rain, "Do you want any more coffee?" Rain said he was fine and the man walked away. "Why had he not asked Yuki?" He wondered. Before he could say anything Yuki suggested they go to the mall. Rain knew where the mall was but had never been there before. He said okay and they started driving again.
