There was that delicate smile beaming on her face and every time it shows itself it causes others to try and compete with it. It contaminates anyone who happens to set their eyes upon the small piece of heaven; it's a perfect mirror of who she is and always will be. It's also one of the incalculable things that made me fall in love with her from the beginning.
I constantly think I'm the luckiest guy in the world; actually it's always on my mind sitting in the back corner. And Lauren is the one who causes that uninterrupted feeling, but it's a good one. She's a classic representation of perfection and there's no way I'd trade her for anything or anyone else. She's mine and I'm hers. Forever. And I was going to make sure of that.
We've been dating for two years now and are currently in grade twelve. I knew I had to ask; it's a now or never kind of thing. It's an immense question with so much meaning to it that it causes my nerves to rattle badly. "I wonder what she'll say" is a consistent thought zooming around in my head going past the semi-crucial and the not-so important. It's showing off and telling them how needed it is by the one who carries the brain which happens to be me.
