Hi! So...this is my first fanfiction, I'm not the best at introductions so let's start!
----------------------------------------------
Lucy's POV
I open my window and take a step out onto the roof. My bare feet land on the cold tiles sending a shiver throughout my body. I reach back through the window to grab my journal and pen as I struggle to push myself back to the roof.
"Lucy..." I hear someone call in a whispery tone.
I slowly crawl back through the window into my room, wishing he didn't hear the sound of the window closing.
"Lucy... you know you aren't suppose to be up there...exit your room immediately!" The man says while slowly opening the bedroom door.
I ran to the door and slammed it, making sure that I had locked it this time.
"Lucy... you bad child. OPEN THE DOOR THIS INSANT! YOU MISTAKE I SAID OPEN IT!" He said slamming his fist into the door causing me to flinch.
"Father... I'm s-" I said opening the door.
Before I could finish my sentence I was already smacked across my face pushing me to the other side of my room.
"YOU CAN NEVER GO OUTSIDE THIS HOUSE LUCY! DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH OF AN EMBARRASSMENT YOU ARE TO ME!" He said turning his hands into fists.
I nod my head and got up hoping that he was done with my punishment. He started walking out the door until he heard me cough.
"Are...are you talking back to me?" He said as he turned around with a terrifying grin.
I stood there. I couldn't move my legs. My eyes were struck with fear and tears ran dow my face,"Father...I didn't say anything...father. No. No please! Stop!" I blacked out.
I can't describe how bad the pain was. I remember seeing him, he had an object in his hand and it was thrown at me. Everything went black after that. I wake up to a room scattered with broken pieces of wood and glass. I look down at my legs...my eyes widened from shock. They look like someone painted them with red. I drag myself outside of my room towards the kitchen where the medical supplies are. I quickly bandage my legs and hope that they weren't infected already.
I limp over to the table and sit on the chair. I start moving around on the chair to get comfortable. I was about to go back to my room when something caught my attention. From the corner of my eye I saw something bright. I slowly turned myself around in the chair to see a familiar face. Tears began to form in my eyes and fall down my face. My heart beats fast and I am filled with joy. I leap into the person's arms and shout their name with joy!
