It's been a week since the discovery of Jason Blossom's body. But his death is not the first, nor would it be the last casualty that the town of Riverdale would suffer. The Twilight Drive-In, where I work, my home away from home, a piece of town history is closing for good. Just when we needed a place to escape to the most. With Sheriff Keller knocking on every door, and neighbor suspecting neighbor, Riverdale, in every day that passes, is becoming more like Salem during the witch trials. And meanwhile, the girl next door, our friendly neighborhood Hitchcock blond Betty Cooper, was wrestling with the knowledge that her best friend, Archie Andrews was caught up in a forbidden romance.

Archie, Dad and I were at Mrs. Grundy's little show. "She is incredible." Dad whispered to Archie. "She's the best."
We walked up the the little stagey thing when it was over. "I'm usually more of a classic rock kind of guy but that was beautiful. Truly." Dad said, making her smile. "Congratulations Mrs. Grundy." Archie and I said, together, and Archie handed her flowers.
"Thank you. All of you. For coming."
"Are you kidding? Archie, wouldn't miss it, Y/n and I had to convince him to let us go." Dad said.
"Great, well, I-I'll see you at school Ms. Grundy. Let's go Dad." Archie said, trying to get Dad to leave. "I was thinking that you know, if you were gonna be alone tonight, that, we could take you out to dinner." Dad suggested. Archie and I widened our eyes.
"Oh, no, I, no I couldn't impose." She said.
"After everything you've done for my son.. You know, with his music..." Dad said. "It's the least I can do, I insist."
Dad looked at Archie and I. Archie nodded. "I would, but I'm meeting Jughead, Veronica, Kevin and Betty and Pop's. I'm sorry." I said, and we all left and my dad dropped me to Pop's where Jughead was with Betty Veronica and Kevin.
"The drive in closing?! It's just one more nail, in the coffin that is Riverdale. No, forget Riverdale, in the coffin of the American dream." Jug ranted. I was sitting between him and Betty. He was really upset about the drive in closing. "As the Godfather of..of Indian Cinema, Quentin Tarantino likes to say-"
"Please, God, no more Quentin Tarantino references." Kevin said, cutting him off. "What? I'm pissed." Jug answered. "And not just about losing my job, the Twilight Drive-In should mean something to us. People should be trying to save it." He ranted.
"In this age, of Netflix and VOD, do people really want to watch a movie in a car? I mean who even goes there?" Veronica interjected.
"People who want to buy crack." Kevin answered, which made me giggle a little. "And cinephiles, and car enthusiasts." Jughead answered. "Right Y/n?" I turned to Jughead. "Totally." I answered.
