Chapter 1 Shinka's First Week of School

     August 2 2015, I was getting ready to go to my new school. Before that though, Shirayuki ( mom ) said that the new school I'm going to is a great school and that I'll make a bunch of new friends. And oh, my name is Shinka by the way, and so, I got to school after being dropped off by my mom, who works at a hospital. On the first day of school, I was pretty nervous about meeting my new teachers and new classmates. I'm a first year student at Bear Creek High School, was my new school. My classes were as followed: English CP 9, Integrated Math 1, World Geography, Ceramics, Biology Pre AP, and English Support 1. English was pretty tough for me at first because I just came to the United States from Japan. Hearing others talk in a different language was hard so I was just quite awkward the whole day until the day was over. After that, I waited where my mom told me she'd pick me up for at least 30 minutes. As soon as my mom picked me up we went straight home.

    The very next day of school, I was dropped off early by my mom, since she works from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. I went over to the cafeteria to get breakfast, a cinnamon roll, and then I sat at one of the tables to eat. After I finished eating, I went out to explore the campus, just so I could get used to the new school. I was gonna be stuck at this school until I graduate in 2019. After exploring for a while, the bell rang, signifying that first Period was starting. With that, I began to make my way to room A28, which was English CP 10. In this class, I started getting to know my group members because our teacher decided to make a group for each desk, that way, we could work together for the activities that we do as a group. Having to understand my group mates is hard because like I said, I am still learning English, and so every time they say something, I have them type up the words they're talking about on my phone to translate it into Japanese. As the class followed after 50 minutes, the bell rang signifying that the class is over, and so I headed out heading to my second class which was Integrated math 1. Math is my favorite class because it was easier for me to get use to because it was just dealing with numbers and I can understand what it is. I met friends there and their names were Alessandra, Viron, and Noah. These were also my group members at this class because my teacher also gave us group members to work with. And so same thing happened for 3rd period class. After that, it was lunchtime, and so I had to get lunch from the cafeteria. My lunch was pizza, and so after that, I had to find a place where I could sit, and so I finally had found a place to sit on and that was under a tree around the center of the campus. 30 minutes later, the bell just rang again signifying that lunchtime is over and should be headed to our 4th period class, which was ceramics by the way, and so I made my way to that class. Ceramics was fun because all we basically have to do was make things out of clay, this might teach me things that I could do if I get bored in my house one day. After 4th period, came the Biology science class 5th period, which also is about genes and DNA. I like my teacher in that class, she is so nice to everyone on this period, her name was Forbis or like her last name is. Anyway, my 6th period class is my English support 1, this is the one that would help me improve my English skills and the way I would talk. Anyways, class ended at 2:10 pm and everyone started leaving the school campus, while that happened, I had to wait again for my mom until she gets here and picks me up, so I had decided to go to the library and wait there instead since they close until 4:30 pm. 

      Staying at the library is probably just a good idea, that way I won't get bored just sitting outside waiting for my mom to get here at school. While I was in the library, I was looking for books that I might like to read when I get bored at home and when I have nothing to do there. I found this book called "Holes", it's basically about a teen named Stanley who had been framed as a shoe stealer. Anyway, this book was interesting to read, and so after waiting for thirty minutes, my mom called my cell phone and told me to go and meet her outside and to go home. So, I got home and headed upstairs in my room and took a nice long shower. After that moment of relaxation, I decided to head downstairs and help my mom cook curry for dinner. After dinner, I helped my mom to was dishes and clean the kitchen before we had upstairs too.And so I had to do my homework for math because it is going to be due tomorrow the Friday.

     Finally Friday came, and same as always, I headed to the Cafeteria and grabbed Cinnamon roll for breakfast. And as I went to go back at the table I set on, I saw a glance of this boy. I was wondering who he was, or I mean was he here for the last four days I was here at the first day of school for us being a freshmen year.
