You woke up when a ray of sunshine hits your face, you space out and stared at the ceiling for a few second, when you snap out of it, you then slowly rise from your bed still dozy, you hear your stomach growling, so you get up and fixed your bed, you then go down stairs, went to the kitchen to make breakfast. While you were making breakfast, you were making waffles and bacon, suddenly you hear the home telephone ringing, you finish cooking your breakfast and got to the telephone
RING RING RING
"Alright, alright, i'm coming, jeez" you said while yawning, you walked up to the telephone and you pick it up
"Hello, this is (Y/n) speaking" you answered the telephone
"Hey (Y/n)!! Good to hear your voice again" the man said
You recognize the voice and it was your old pal Eric
"Hey Eric!! How's it going??"
"I'm doing great, how about you??
"Yeah i'm doing great too, so.... how's korea??"
"Men, i wish you were here, korea is full of colors, mall, food, and even girls"
You two laugh for a few seconds
"But did you even find yourself a girlfriend though??"
"Oh c'mon men you don't have to go there you know"
"Hahaha sorry, so why'd you call??"
"Well...... are you seating down??"
"No, why??"
"Well you need to seat down for this one"
"Uhm, okay..."
You sat down on the sofa while still holding the telephone
"I know i didn't ask you in the first place (Y/n), but hear me out on this"
"Just go straight to the point already"
"Okay, okay, i... umm, volunteered you to be someone's homestay companion"
Silence filled the phone
"Umm (Y/n) you still there"
"What do you mean volunteered me to be someone's homestay companion??"
"But look at the bright side you will be staying with a girl, i mean c'mon (Y/n), you've been single for like what 21 years??"
"I don't want the bright side!! I just want to know why you volunteered me to be a girl's homestay companion"
"Well i got a call from the Song family and they ask me if i know someone to be their daughters homestay companion"
"And why pick me?!?!"
"Well you're the first one to pop in my mind"
"You just- you just can't make a rush dicision and not asking my permission if it was okay for me, and i think my dad won't agree to this"
"Well i got that covered, i asked your dad if it was okay for him to let the girl stay in your house for 9 months and he was totally fine with it, and you know what he said??"
"What??"
"Well he said 'its fine by me and (Y/n) might find the girl likeable and get himself a girl' see he's on my side on this one, so what do you say pal??"
"What if i say no??"
"Oh c'mon (Y/n), just trust me on this one she might be your girlfriend, and do you want to stay single for the rest of your life??"
"Well im an introvert, so yeah, i don't really like to be with someone"
"Oh c'mon you'll regret that dicision"
"Well, what about you you don't have a girlfriend yet, why not you be her homestay companion, huh??"
"Dude i'm in korea and im older than her it wont work out and she need to go to school where you study, and plus she's your age, shes 19, and i don't know anyone except you"
"But im 21 years old!!"
"So what?? You're jus 2 years older than her what's the difference??"
You think about the homestay thing for a bit
"What do you say (Y/n)??"
"Fine i'll be her homestay companion"
"YESSS!! WHOOHOO, admit it your excited to see her and you're blushing aren't you, aren't you??" He teases you
"Wha-what no im not, do you want me to change my mind or what??"
"Okay, okay, i was just teasing you, okay she'll leave tomorrow and it's thursday so you'll be picking her up tomorrow friday"
"Okay, what time??"
" well let me just grab my memo..... ah her flight will land in (your home country) at 8 in night, oh and make a name tag big enough to see her name"
"Umm, okay, what is her name anyway??"
"Hana Song"
"Hana Song, huh?? Okay then"
"Good, okay got to go now bye!"
You two hang up
"God, Eric why you do this"
You said as you whine
You get a 1/8 illustration board because you don't have a white or black board or any cardboard, you were lucky you still have one more illustration board, you write here name on the white side with a permanent marker
'Well there's no turning back' you thought to yourself
It was thursday and it was getting late so you decided to get some rest so you'll have energy to pick her up tomorrow on the airport at 8, you brush your teeth, put on your bed attire and go to your bed you lay to your bed and fall to deep slumber
