Secret Keeping

The male members of Ninninger had told Fuuka of what they intended to do and she thought it would be a good idea to help Yakumo and Kasumi. The first thing that they decided to do was constantly keep and eye on Kasumi. They all agreed that they had to keep 100% attention on their cousin but that had to ensure they were discreet because they didn't want Kasumi to find out they were up to something. After about 2 hours Kasumi cam ego speak to them. "Hi everyone, I'm just going out to get some extra microscope slides for my research I'll be back soon." The others all waved goodbye to Kasumi and they all raced back inside. "Right, she's gone who is going to keep an eye on Kausmi-Chan while she is gone." Fuuka asked them and Yakumo raised his hand. "I'll do it, I'm the reason that we doing this but I can be as silent as a mouse." They all decided to send Yakumo and he immediately followed after her.

He followed her throughout the town until she arrived at the shop that she needed to get to and once she reached her destination, Yakumo reported to the others that she was inside. Kasumi was not very long as she knew the shop like the back of her hand. He saw her coming out of the shop and hid himself in a corner which was quite dark and so she couldn't see him. She walked straight past him and he managed to get home before she did so that she didn't suspect anything. On his way home he kept thinking about her "I got that rose for her because she was exactly like a rose, beautiful but has a few thorns as she can be quite scary but I still care for her."

He got home just before she did and told them that nothing interesting happened. They all somehow managed to agree to his statement and put on the secret keeping faces just before Kasumi walked in the door "Hey everyone, I'm back, got my slides and I'm going back to my room see which hair sample matches the DNA from the sample that the police gave me." She said and immediately returned to her room to process her evidence. As she walked into the room her eyes were drawn to the rose once again "I want to know who you are, and why would you leave me this gift?" She questioned herself about it everyday and night because she was so desperate for answers but knew it was pointless questioning her familt because she knew they would have no clue about it.

The other members of Ninninger were sitting in the main room of the dojo and spoke about the secret keeping from Kasumi. "This is harder than I thought, we have been trying to put on the brave faces all day to try and fool Kasumi into thinking that we don't know anything about the rose Yakumo gave her." Takaharu spoke up and Nagi and Kinji nodded, Yakumo and Fuuka gave each other a glance and Kinji told them "Look we just need to keep Kasumi away from questioning us about that rose." Yakumo got up and left the room and walked outside, he just sat down and thought about all the good times with Kasumi he had throughout their lives.

Flashback, 10 years ago:
"Kasumi, do you think that the whole family will still be together 10 years from now?" A 11 year old Yakumo asked a 10 year old Kasumi and she thought about it for a moment before answering him, "Don't know depends if Takaharu and Fuuka ever stop fighting." They both laughed and Kasumi rested her head on Yakumo's shoulder and they both smiled and spoke about their own futures "So when Ì become 20 and you become 19 we are coming back here." Yakumo said to her and she nodded but she was always happy with her friends but she was especially happy when she had Yakumo as they were best friends and they always had been and that would never be able to change."

End of flashback

Yakumo smiled to himself "I'll tell you soon Kausmi I promise, I need you to know how I feel about you, how I have always felt about you." He said to himself and went back to join the rest of the team. Kasumi cam back out of her room to join the others for a family chat and a laugh. They always love the family moments together because they were always so much fun. Kinji always made fun of Yakumo's English and Yakumo tried so hard to keep his cool before Kasumi was finally able to separate them with a very cold stare to the both of them which gave them both shivers and both decided to end the argument there and then.

They all returned to their rooms for the night and Kasumi thought to herself and strangely her thoughts were about Yakumo. "I know that he is pretty much my best friend but there is no way that I like him..." Her thoughts stoped and she eyes propped open and came to a conclusion "I have a crush on Yakumo".
