KRYSTAL JUNG is nervous.

Though it was a very, very, extremely rare thing for her to feel this way, she couldn't really help the anxious nerves making her hands shake as she tried to apply her makeup. Note the word tried because after another failed attempt at winged eyeliner she gives up and practically screams in frustration.

"Looks like I came right on time." Jessica says, appearing in the bathroom doorway and startling her younger sister who jumps back in surprise.

"What the hell? Don't you know how to knock or like, announce your presence?" Krystal scolds, hand placed over her rapidly beating heart as she glares at her sister, "You know so I don't have a fucking heart attack."

"Sorry" Is her sister's insincere reply that makes Krystal roll her eyes, "Better now?"

"Whatever" The younger grumbles as she breezes past the elder, motioning towards the bags in her sister's hands, "What's in the bags?"

"I bought the good stuff." Jessica claims, reaching into the bag and holding up a bottle of alcohol that Krystal can barely recognize. Still, she turns back around and grabs the bottle nonetheless, popping the top off and taking a huge swig.

"You're a life saver." Krystal tells her sister, patting her shoulder gently before taking another swig of the alcohol, smiling around the burning feeling in her throat as it went down.

"Woah, woah, slow down there Soojung." Jessica says with a laugh, following the younger through her apartment as she searches for shoes, "Going there wasted off your ass won't solve anything."

"Going there sober won't make things easy either." Is Krystal's reply when she spots her black heels. She makes her way over towards the shoes, slipping them on delicately before glancing back at her sister, "It's not like with you. Nothing is easy for me. Nothing."

Jessica had the feeling that Krystal was talking about more than the dinner they were about to attend. But she knew her younger sister wouldn't talk about it, not now, and most likely - not ever. Because Krystal was still so very closed off with her in that manner, which is why Jessica was so surprised with how quickly she opened herself up to Hyuk.

At the thought of the dark haired male, Jessica sighs as she adjusts her purse, eyes shifting to a picture sitting in a new frame on Krystal's coffee table. The sound of the door slamming makes her sigh. She hated seeing her sister upset, but there was really nothing she could do about it. But - she knew someone who could.

The brunet woman makes her way towards the picture frame then, smiling down at the photo on display - it's one of Hyuk and the kitten Krystal had found in the rain that she had named Luna. Hyuk is smiling down at luna who's perched on his lap, cuddling into him.

"You'll make things easy for her, right?" She knows there'll be no response, but Jessica speaks anyway. She laughs bitterly then before smiling down sadly at the picture, "She trusts you more than she trusts me."

And it hurts to admit it. But the worst part is that it's true. Krystal was older now and unimaginable things that had happened to her, had shaped and molded into the walled off person she was today. And Jessica hadn't been there all of the time, she'd missed some steps. But they seemed to have been the most important ones. And now, she couldn't seem to get close to her sister again.

There always a wall between them, barely there, but still holding enough presence to keep them at a distance. So Jessica had felt somewhat jealous watching Hyuk and Krystal, because there was no wall between them, that much was evident. And she wondered if either of them knew - that Krystal allowed herself to be unguarded in Hyuk's presence, and that Hyuk got to see the side of her sister that no one else did.
