Chapter 1 - Why?

Chloe's POV:

"Daaadd, why are you making me do this? You know I am perfectly happy staying at home with you guys!" I moaned as my grip on my Dad's ankle became tighter, with every step he took - well, more like dragging his foot along our shiny oak flooring in the attempt of getting me out of our front door.

"Honey, myself and your father feel like this is the best way for you to make new friends, and-well, you know, get involved more..." My Mum chirped from the top of our spiral stairs with all of my bags packed and laying neatly either side of her.

"But Mum, what if I don't want to get more involved, or make any friends?" I sulked, whilst trying to fake cry in my last attempt to change their minds on making me stay in the dormitories on the uni campus. I knew that they had their minds set but, you know, it's always worth trying!

My dad gave me a stern look, I knew where this was heading... "Chloe Elizabeth Hill, get into the car now!" Those words came out of my fathers mouth so fluently, it was as if he had turned into 'teacher mode' and used his stern voice, (for the record - he only uses that voice when he is annoyed), I growled inwardly hoping he wouldn't hear it and all I received was a glare that was so penetrating; if this was supernatural or something, I would have a hole right through my head right now.

I guess there is no point in fighting it any more, I might as well embark on my journey to hell. I stepped out of the door, and found myself making my way to the backseat of my parents Range Rover and made myself comfy. When my parents finally locked the door and stopped making a fuss about wether they had forgotten anything of mine, they eventually made their way to the car. As I looked out the car window all that stared back at me was 4 years of my life that I was leaving behind, all of my memories.

"Oh shut up Chloe for Christs sake, you are coming home every weekend, it's not like you are moving abroad. Grow up!" I argue to myself.

A long, heavy, dramatic sigh left my mouth and music entered my ears as my headphones are pushed into them to drown out my parents, once again talking about boring school stuff. I scrolled through my iPod, to try and choose another song for when this one ends. I ended up choosing one at random because I really couldn't be asked to go through all my music. The song "Trumpets" blasted through my earbuds and after a few minutes, I found myself fighting my sleepiness off my eyelids as they are slowly closing in on each other, eventually sealing shut.
