Stars

A star has died
In a slow, soft and calm
Manner, it left the sky
Accepting it's time, without a fight.
Like the ocean's tide,
Like a loving palm
Of warmth, without a goodbye
The darkness, gone for light.
A star has died
How painful it must feel
To know that it no longer
Shines so brightly in the sky.
And suddenly mystified,
The world seems so surreal
The weight of a sombre
Heart, and so still does it lie.
But, unknown what will betide,
Taking comfort that
They are together once more,
Casts away the dismality.
A star has died,
And like all stars,
Gave hope for recovery-
To suddenly disappear.
A star has died.
