I pulled into the long driveway that led up to the Allen's. I parked near the end of the driveway at the street. Cece turned to me.

"Why did you park down here? There are plenty of spots up there."

"Because this way it will be easier to leave if we run into trouble," I replied.

"That's smart," Cece said as she got out and stood up. I got out looking up at he house. We walked up the driveway to the door.

The music was loud and there were lots of people on the dance floor that was set up in the main room. I walked past to get a glass of water because I was thirsty and the punch in the halls was probably spiked. I grabbed a glass and filled it up, then walked away because there were several people making out. Once I was in the lounge I sat on a couch and decided to read a book of off my phone.

~4 hours later~

I glanced at the clock, it was just after midnight. I decided to find Cece while trying to avoid most of the people.

Why was I trying to avoid everyone? lets just say that all the people in the house scare me. I mentioned that I was a little bit of a walking freak show, right? I have been the person that everyone bullied for years. You'd think that they would grow tired of picking on me, right? Wrong.

I hate how people think that it's ok to pick on people who are less fortunate or different from the rest of society. In my case a person who is sometimes referred to as a schizo. I have been tested for schizophrenia several times but have been reported negative, thankfully. I just have an over active imagination.

I walked over to the main room. Looking around the room I spotted Cece talking to Jana. I put my head down and started to make my way over to her, but not before running onto a wall. Wait not a wall, a person! I slowly looked up into the face of Harris Allen. I gulped.

"Watch where your going slut,"he spat,"what are you supposed to be huh? Are you supposed to be one of those imaginary sea nymphs that your always talking about? Are you a mermaid schizo?"

I jumped out of the way scared of what would happen if I stood up to him. I turned to walk the other way. Brittany stuck her foot out and tripped me; I fell straight towards the punch bowl.

I stood up drowned in punch, everyone stood there laughing. I panicked and ran straight for the one place that I knew where I would find peace. The sea.

The sand was slightly warm from the days sun; even though it had long since set. I breathed in the salty mist that had started to seep in towards the land. I watched the waves flow to the pull of the moon. The calming effect soothed my humiliation.

I saw something poke it's head out of the water, it looked sort of like a humans but it disappeared before I could get a better look.

Watching the water, I hoped that I could get another look at the strange creature. When it didn't one back up I started to think that maybe the results were wrong. Maybe I was schizophrenic.

Something brushed against my shoulder making me jump. Turning around I saw my best friend looking down at me. Taking in my tear streaked face, Cece said the words that I had longed to hear since we arrived at the party. Let's go home Kai.
