The Forgotten Promise

Her eyes are shaking with tears. Her body shivers like she's cold. Both me and her are in shock. I let her go after realizing she's crying.

"Sha? I'm so--"

"Its okay. Y-you don't have to apologies." She quickly cut me off.

"Sha..."

"No."

Why does she keeps cutting every word I say?

"Sha!" I raise my voice that her eyes widen.

"Please listen to me." I shake her a bit. She nods at me and that makes me feel relieved.

"I just want to explain things to you and everything that happened for the past years."

The light coming from the moon shone over her face and reveals her beautiful face. Even though her eyes are reddish because of crying, she's still as beautiful as ever.

After telling her what happened the past twelve years. The reason why I left, the 'heir' thing, the responsibility that I carry over my shoulders and many other things. She just listen carefully and never said a word.

We are now sitting on the floor inside her office to keep others from hearing us. Her silence bothers me that's why I took glance of her.

I am shocked on her action. She rest her head on my shoulder. She 'hmm' as she nuzzle and wrap her hands in my waist.

"Kenma. You know I'm ver very confused. And I don't know what should I feel. Is it anger? Should I be happy or what? But I don't care anymore."

My heart skip a beat after hearing those words. It gives me hope. I'm so confused too but at the same time happy as well.

Should I ask her now? Should I confess? No. I must confess, I must say it. Right here, right now.

"Sha?"

"Your gonna ask me if I'm willing to marry you?"

Now I'm really shocked. I don't know the words I must say. I want to speak but my mouth shuts up.

"You've grown up into a fine man but your still the same Kenma~" she pouted as she looks at me.

I just pinched her nose and that made her back off. I pull her closer and kissed passionately kiss her.

"But that's my promise. So I am here to make it come true." She chuckles and cupped my cheeks in her soft and smooth tiny hands.

"Your forgotten promise, young man." She pouted once again and that tempts me to kiss her once more.

She pulls a string from her neck and unattached it letting a small circular thing fall to my hands.

She keeps it all these years. Waiting. And now...

"Sha Magdangal, will you marry me?"

My everything.

"Kenma Edson with all the waiting, and for all the tears I've shed because of you."

She paused for a while and that moment made me feel uncomfortable, thinking if she will say yes or no. I can feel the uprising beat of my heart.

"Maybe I'll say no?" She sharpen her eyes but pull it off and make a soft giggle.

"Just kidding. Okay, I'll say yes."

We both laughed as I put on the ring she longed to wear. I kiss her once more. Smiles between each kiss.

"You are now officially mine. You are now Mrs. Sha Magdangal-Edson."
