Chapter 5

The bright sunshine bleeds through the curtain, hitting directly towards my face. I stretched my arms out, and fluttered my droopy eyes open.

My eyes landed on a yellow sticky note which was sticked on top of my forehead. I took the sticky note off from my forehead and read it.

No sleeping during working hours.

Rolling my eyes, I crumbled the note into a ball and threw it onto a table near me.

I found myself on the couch in my office, wondering how I got here. I tried to replay what happened last night, but all I can remember was telling myself to take a short nap.

I noticed a blazer was placed on top of me. Not knowing who it belongs to, I set it down onto the couch. I stood up from my position and flatted out the creases on my clothes.

I stretched one last time before noticing the time; 8:56am. Then it hit me, the files! I quickly ran to my computer, knowing I have 4 minutes before Jungkook comes to work.

Panicking, knowing I'll get in so much trouble if I didn't get the files done.

Once I got to my computer, I noticed it was turned off. I quickly pressed the on button, waiting impatiently for it to turn on.

All I can do was think of excuses why I didn't finish them.

Once it's on, all of my word documents were closed out. I don't even remember if I saved them all!

My last hope was to look into my saved documents.

Turns out all the documents were in my saved folder. What remains a mystery was the last two files. They weren't lost, but the fact that both are completed. I don't know if a ghost or a spirit decided to help me, but Bless your soul. If you even have one.

Later on Mr.Kim comes knocking on my door, asking for the files. Good thing I printed them out after finding them on my computer.

"You can call me Taehyung. No need to be formal with me," he chuckled.

I nodded at his suggestion, and soon he left.

I would love to head home and change into another outfit, but one of the rules was that employees may not leave during work hours unless for business purposes.

I would think I could leave during lunch break, but the company has its own cafeteria! Ugh.  So obviously employees can't use the excuse to eat out with friends during lunch. But they may bring them in.

Throughout the day, I've been hearing rumors that our CEO, Jungkook, never left the office last night. That got me thinking, maybe he was the one who helped me.

I doubt it. He wouldn't waste his time on me. I saw him once today and he was wearing a different color suite.

Soon the idea of Jungkook helping me last night fade away. Until lunch time. I head to the cafeteria, waiting in line for some Chinese food. It was then when Jimin and Taehyung both jumps out to say hi.

I startled a little. "Ya!" I yelled at them. Both of them were laughing at my reaction.

Once we settled down with our food, we began to talk about our day. I told them how I had to stay late, ending up falling asleep in my office last night. Because of all the files I had to finalize.
