Chapter 3

Adelissas' POV

I woke up this morning with a severe neck pain.I think I slept in a wrong position yesterday that is why I am having this pain.I text Mrs Jackson that I won't be coming to work today.
"Hi,Mrs Jackson I am texting you to inform you that I can't come to work today due to a severe neck pain."After ten minutes I got a reply from her."I am sorry my dear but you'll have to come as there is an important meeting today and all the staff should be present...Please come ASAP."Well I think it's something really important otherwise Mrs Jackson wouldn't have ask me to come despite me telling her that I'm not feeling well.I got dressed real quick and head to the café.

Alfonsos' POV

I am at the café which I bought yesterday as the ex-owner Mrs Jackson is having a meeting to inform the employers that I bought the café and to introduce them to their new owner which is also known as me.

"Hello Mrs Jackson,how are you today?"I ask her
"oh,hello Mr valeriano good to see you again.I am fit and fine what about you?"she ask while smiling
"I am good thank you"I reply politely.

"So are all of your employers here?can we start the meeting?"I ask her in my business tone.
"Actually Mr valeriano one is not here yet but she'll be here soon."she says in a rush tone."
"Is she always that late?"I ask as you can see I hate tardiness.
"No Mr valeriano she is not always that late it's just that she wasn't going to come to work today as she is having a severe neck pain.She must be here in like 30 minutes."said Mrs Jackson
"ok.To not waste time and delay another job can I please have a look at all the employers file?"I hate wasting my time when it comes to work I prefer to be always ahead.
"sure,here are all the files with their details you'll find their picture on the top."she says pointing to a table.

"Thank you Mrs Jackson.Please inform me when she gets here."
"who?"she ask confuse.
"The one who is late"I reply in a duh tone.
"oh yes,sorry"she apologise sheepishly
"Its ok."

As soon as she left I started going through the files.The workers here seems pretty talented but since I'm going to renovate the coffee shop I'm also going to change some of their duties.

After going through almost all of the files I know which duty to give to who.Now I'm going through the last file.Before I check the details I look at the picture first.Looking at this girl picture something in my mind is telling that I know her she looks familiar.Ohhhhhh yes yes now I remember she is the same girl with whom I bumped yesterday.she is the feisty girl whose clothes I ruined yesterday and whose face I wanted to see soon.This is going to be so much fun."Mr valeriano the girl is here."
"ok give me a minute and I'll be there."

Adelissas' POV

I arrive in front of the café to see that the sign 'close' is still on.Which is strange.Oh yeah they must have left it on because of the meeting which is going to take place.I'll just call Mrs Jackson to let her know that I'm outside."Hello Mrs Jackson I am infront of the café."
"ok wait a minute I am coming."
"ok" I said hanging up.
True to her words after a minute she open the door and usher me in."Hi Mrs Jackson I'm really sorry for my lateness I didn't know that a meeting was going to take place."
"It's ok Adelissa.It's actually my fault that I didn't inform anyone about the meeting so don't be sorry its actually me who should apologise."
"Really Mrs Jackson you don't have to apologise to me you are my boss."
"Actually Adelissa its ex boss that's what the meeting is about."I am confused right now What does she mean by ex boss I don't get her."
"uhhh dear I know you are confusw right now but it'll make sense when the meeting begins.Just wait here with all the employers while I go get the owner."

A minute later she enters with no one.Again confuse what's happening."He is coming all of you take a seat."Just when she finish saying that a tall man in a business suit enters.Wait he was the same one who bumped into me yesterday.Oh no please tell me that he is not the new owner.Oh but he is.A voice spoke in my mind.How am I going to work with him?This is going to be pure torture for me.His eyes are scanning the room until it falls on me and you know what he did?He freaking smirked and I just glare at him in return.I know what he is thinking right now that he is going to have fun torturing me.Well he is thinking wrong right now.This is real life am not gonna let him win.
