Mark got into the water reuniting with his friends until he turned to find Amy with a sad look. "Amy, I love you but, we're too different. I live in the ocean and you live on land. I get that you have a life on the surface. but don't give it up for my sake to be with me." She held his hands and stared lovingly into his eyes. "Mark, I understand and we can make it work. I believe we will and I will love you no matter what and I'm also happy to hear your voice." Minx swam over. "I also remembered that when kissed Mark, not only did you give back his ability to speak again but there was a side effect I just remembered."
"MINX!!!" They all yelled. Jack facepalmed at the mermaid in purple and black.

Mark brought Amy back to the beach on where she first met him. "I have to go now, Amy. But that doesn't mean I won't see you again." He was about to swim off and Amy ran after him by climbing on the rocks to the cove and from there, she raised her arm high in the air where he jumped above her and into open ocean behind her. She leaned to the ocean's edge where she kissed him and she felt a strange feeling from her waist down. She looked to see it was a scarlet red mermaid's tail with a sunset orange tailfin. "Amy, look at you, you're a mermaid!" She stared at her new tail with a warm smile. "Looks like I am."

So Mark and Amy swam below the ocean where they lived happy life together as a happy mercouple. Ken and Mary had their little merchild and named her Layla but they still call her "L", Jack is happy that Mark is back in the ocean with him and everyone else. In a way, they all lived happily ever after.
