The Bitten Wolf

Prologue

I ,Nova Jade Petit, am driving in the rain down a road surrounded by trees and woodlands after my long twelve hour shift at work and my car decides to break down. I stop to get out of the car in the down pour and try to see what is wrong with it when I hear a sound that sounds like a growl. I thought it was just thunder I turn and see crimson glowing, menacing eyes in the dark, drowsy tunnel of trees next to my car. The figure keeps growling and swiftly disappears in the woods taking the sound with it. I  go back to looking at my car thinking my eyes and ears are playing tricks on me. Soon after I feel a hard pressure on my leg but as soon as I feels it, it gone and a burning sensation shoots into my leg. My leg suddenly and painstakingly starts burning, feeling like my flesh was eating itself. I fall clutching my wounded leg. Hearing a wolf's howl in the distance. The rain has slowly started to come down harder. Living in Northern California has its pros and cons, like never really knowing when it's going to down pour. I start to drag my body to the driver side door and reach to the handle to get inside to use my phone. I call 9-1-1.

"Hi What is your emergency?"
"I just got bit by an animal and I'm bleeding profusely." I say starting to feel woozy.

"Where are you?" The dispatcher asks.

"I'm on route 37 in a navy blue Honda Accord in the middle of los lobos forest ." I say lazily my eyes start fluttering, my vision fading in and out. Black and back to the dark forest in front of me. The dispatcher tries to keep me awake but it doesn't work and I pass out, slumped in my blue Honda Civic.
"Ma'am"
"Nova stay with me" is the last thing I hear before passing out.

Jackson's POV
" Jackson what did you do?" Magson asks worriedly, watching the girl struggle into her car. She looks around for something frantically when she finds what she's looking her. Her face lights up signaling that she was on her phone. I hear the phone dial tone and a dispatcher answers and does the usual prompt. The girl answer their questions. Soon after hanging up the girl passes out.

"Come on" I told Magson walking to the car she was in.

"Jackson what are you doing? She called the cops! We need to leave!" Magson yells.

" We have ten minutes to hurry and help get her away from here." I pick her up feeling her unconscious body weight. I quickly run into the forest and to the pack doctors. Magson told them what happened and they scolded and rolled their eyes at me. I sheepishly scratch my neck looking at the girl in the bed unconscious. Jackson come here NOW! My dad yelled in the mindlink making me jump. Magson opens the door of the doctors office and follows me to the alpha's office. I rise my arm to knock,
"Come in." My father says before I even touched the door. I open the door and walk in with my head down.
