*So sorry I haven't updated in a while. I've kinda been working on some other stuff and I haven't really been motivated to write because I feel like people don't like it.*
I woke up with an ache in my back and a sharp pain in my head. I don't quite remember how I got back to my room. I don't really remember anything honestly.
I sit up and my head spins for a moment. I felt like passing out.
All of the sudden Puzzle walked into my room like she owned the place but as she slowly lifted her head, her eyes bugged out and she backed away. Like she was afraid of me. Next thing I know she's running out of my room yelling. Weird. I mean, Puzzle has always been weird but she's never acted afraid of me before. She's kinda psychotic.I'm sure it had nothing to do with me. I yawned hard, and stretched widely. Hoping to relieve some of the pain I was feeling.
I contemplated going back to sleep. But I first needed to find out what the hell was going on.
As I got up, I changed into one of the dresses in the wardrobe. Although I new there had to be an end to it, it seemed to go on forever. Even as dresses were removed it seemed a new one replaced it.
I put the dress on and braided my hair so it would be out of the way.
I opened the door with a creak. I stepped out into the hallway and it seemed like no one was here.
The castle was usually deserted, it just seemed more empty today.
Puzzle had to be somewhere.I closed my door behind me and I began walking. My usually quiet footsteps sounded like thunder in the noiseless corridor.
I found the stairwell and ran to the throne room. I opened the door, hoping to find Jareth. Or even a single goblin. Just someone to help me. Someone to talk to. Someone who would make me feel less alone in the vacant castle.
It was empty. Not a soul in sight.
I wondered it somehow this was a dream. It didn't feel like a dream. But this couldn't have been real.I shut the door with a quiet click. I sighed. Where the Hell is everyone?
I continued to wonder throughout the castle. Hoping to find somebody. Anybody.
I was fully prepared to go back to my room and give up whenever the room I visited the other night opened. The purple fog drifted out.
It was like a sign. And I wasn't one to turn down a sign. Especially not in this situation.
I walk into the room and am greeted by the familiar sight of the crystal ball lighting up.
"Show me the Goblin King." I command. My voice sounds small as it echos in the room.
As told, the crystal begins to show Jareth. In his room. Packing frantically.
