Deckard stopped me from walking inside with his arm.
"You know you can't lie to me."
I pushed past him and opened the front door. I smiled a little at the blue and black couches with red and white trimming before I sat down on the couch, my head in my hands. Dex sat down on the oak wood coffee table in front of me as I looked up at him.
"Letty asked about kids." I said.
He frowned. "So? You said you've always wanted to start a family."
"I know. But the life we live.... It's dangerous. People have tried to kill us for years. Owen tried to kill Jack and Mia for the love of God!" I exclaimed. "And let's not even think about what you tried doing, Deckard. What I'm trying to say is; how can we start a family if our lives are filled with more danger every hour?"
Deckard nodded. "So what are you going to do?"
"I'm not sure, but I need to talk to Letty about it." I told him.
"I'll go get her for you, eh?" He asked.
I nodded. "Thanks, Dex."
He smiled and hugged me quickly before he walked outside. I sat there for a little bit longer until the front door opened and Letty walked in. She dropped her smile when she saw me.
"Ace?" She asked.
I motioned for her to sit so she did. I took a breath before I finally looked up to meet her eyes.
"Letty, you know how I told you that we would talk about kids when we got back?"
"Yeah, of course." She responded. "Why? Do you not want to have any?"
"No! I mean, I do. But Let..." I sighed. "Letty, our lives are dangerous. I don't want to put our kids in danger because of our life."
She nodded. "I was thinking the same thing."
I looked up at her before something dawned on me.
"We could adopt a teenager, if you wanted."
She smiled and nodded. "Yeah. I'd like that."
I leaned up and kissed her quickly before I got up from the couch.
"Want to give them a call?"

Me and Letty pulled up to the teenage adoption house in a Navy Blue dodge charger. It was the same as Dom's, but we had built it. I parked the car and got out. Letty was already standing there, waiting for me. I slung my arm around her neck and we walked up to the front door. The woman smiled at us before her eyes shifted to over my shoulder. I followed them to see a kid walking around the car. I stopped her from calling out to the teen.
"I'll talk to him." I said. "Letty, you alright here?"
She nodded and the pair of women left. I walked back over to the car where the kid was checking it out. I leaned against it and spoke.
"Nice ride?" I asked.
He jumped nearly out of his skin as he spun around to face me. I smirked as he glanced between me and the machine.
"Um... yeah. Yeah, it is."
I looked at him. "You wanna check out the engine?"
His eyes lit up. "Can I?"
I walked to the driver's side and popped the trunk before I pulled it up. I put it on the rest and stepped backwards.
"What do you think?"
