I belief we are being marked on this hopeless assignment. So we have no choice but to respond to each other.
You've intrigued me.

I haven't tried your suggestion yet to listen to the birds outside our window. Yes, I too have noticed his love for Mr Sherlock Holmes. I chose my name because I watched with my girlfriend an old Meg Ryan movie about her falling in love with an out of century dude. His name stuck.

How many secrets do you carry to unburden them? I've always thought that one secret was enough. I hope you're not suicidal because I can't help you while writing these letters. I'm willing to listen and give guidance as needed. I hope our writing relationship will be full of rewards.

I kind of like the idea of writing letters to each other. My mother was a writer but she doesn't write anymore. So don't mock my way of phrasing words or writing them, okay?
