Winged

chapter 2

     (AN -So this chapter is pretty short but I wrought it at 2:00 am and I was planning a huge surprise for a friend well I was writing this, I'm sorry if it's not as detailed as my first chapter but I've been really busy so sorry)

        Beep BEEEEEEEEEPPP!

       "Ughhhhh shut the hell up" I screamed almost breaking the alarm system in my pod when I punched it, the damned thing won't shut the hell up. I grabbed one of the pillows that were Strone about my pod and drove my face into it, parrying and hoping for something anything to take me back to sleep. But nothing came and the only thing that I got out of it was a huge ass headache! I threw my pillow to the opposite end of my pod before reaching over and unhooking the metal bit. "Ouch!!! I cut my finger on the metals egged again why the hell is this so damn sharp? You'd think they'd make so there not sharp at all. "I hope Allyson's having a better day than me." I have to get out of bed, but it's so warm.

       I quickly realized my hand was still bleeding and I wiped it off on my bed staining my white blanket, well so much for not ruining these sheets with weird stains again, I sigh as I got up. 

(AN –get your mind out of the gutter that's not what I meant, anyway back to the chapter)

        The pod slowly opened and I stepped out the sun automatically blinding my eyes, 'for the love of all things holy why the hell are the windows open and the blinds drawn?' I lifted my hand to my forehead in a meek attempt to shield it from the blinding rays of light coming in through the window 'I could have sworn I closed them yesterday, did one of the bots open them again? Whatever' I swung my feet over the edge and they hit the floor the metal clinked as the force from my feet hit it. I slowly got up and stretched my arms out, as I bent back I heard a series of cracks and then a large bang.

         "Shit," I said aloud as craned my neck to look behind me, sometimes I forgot I had wings dammit. They had knocked over a large picture of me and my brother that was set on my wall. "Please don't be cracked please don't be cracked." I slowly picked up the picture and evident enough their way a huge crack from one corner to the other. 'well there goes the picture of me and my only family' I hung the picture back up on the wall and did my best to make it straight, I mean the crack isn't that bad right? I closed my pod and looked around the room, no one's here that's a first for once. Maybe my day won't be as crappy as I thought it would be. I didn't bother showering seeing as all I was doing today was meeting up with Allyson. I quickly changed and made sure nothing on my clothes were odd, I had found trackers on my clothes so I had told Allyson last time we went out together. We can't have another fiasco like last time. Thank the lord her dad has power in the law.

           I was simply wearing a long-sleeved cropped top with a fitted back to make room for the large black feathered wings that sat around my shoulder blades. Unlike Allyson's wings mine tended not to have their own separate temper and don't really move much unless I make them. I quickly grabbed the small red box that was under my pillow and ran out the door not bothering to close it I was late there's no dought about it, how can I miss Allyson birthday I mean some friend I am come on. I raced down the hall of the building and took a sharp turn towards the left taking to back were barely anyone walked and opened the service stairs door, my main plan was to surprise her with something she hasn't had before yes it would work. And with that, I ran as fast as I could up the stairs, and straight into the corner behind a giant tank. Remember how I said earlier my wings had no real emotion? Well, that's only half true when I'm feeling excited nervous or even when I'm feeling flustered. This would be a good scenario where I'm feeling two of those my heart was racing super-fast in my chest and my breathing was heavy. I hope she likes my surprise. I held my wings down so, they didn't give away my spot and hid for about 10 minutes then I heard the door click open

          (AN -I hope you enjoyed this chapter, It was fun to write and I think you guys are really going to like Saraphina, but what's the surprise she has planned for Allyson so if you have any guesses to what the surprise is you can leave them in the comments bellow.)
