I know, I know, I shouldn't be crushing on my best friend.

''Why did you do it?" Nico asked, his head lying against my chest.
Oh Nico you have no idea

''Neeks...'' My voice cracked, ''my life is falling apart.''
''What?" Nico looked genuinely concerned...it just made it hurt more.
''Nico...Luke broke up with me...''
''When did this happen?"
''...about a month ago..he-he got some new college boyfriend named Octavian,''
''And your just now telling me?!" Nico jumped from my grasp.
''Neeks...I just-I just didn't want you to worry,''
''Well, I'm worried!" Nico shouted
I flinch, Nico moves back, and says, ''anything else bothering you?"
I stayed quiet, I didn't want to keep talking. Luckily I didn't have to,

Doodles the cat wandered into my room,after Nico held him briefly downstairs, and he mewed quietly until Nico picked him up. Nico stroked the cat's head. I petted its side,

''Will,'' Nico prompted
''...Nico.. Nico!"
''What Will? What wrong?"
''Why isn't Doodles breathing?!"
''What?"
''DOODLES ISN'T BREATHING DAMMIT!"
''Will, calm down,'' Nico put a hand on my shoulder I yanked it off,
''NICO STOP!"
''STOP WHAT?!" Nico yelled.
'"STOP HELPING AND SAYING ITS GOING TO BE OKAY! YOUR LYING AND WE BOTH KNOW IT!" I yelled.

We both stood, Doodles the cat, curled up in a ball, unmoving, on the bed.

''Will, I love Doodles too, but you knew this was going to happen, ''
"BUT WHY SO SOON NICO?!WHY WHEN I NEEDED HIM MOST!?!"
Nico now was trembling with rage, I though he was going to smack me.
"BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR WILL!" Nico yelled, then, grabbed my color and kissed me very aggressively.

Nico let go, licking his lips, I probably wore a very confused face, cause Nico chuckled and said, ''I had to shut you up somehow."

I was speechless, my mouth dangling open. I couldn't form a sentence.

The from door swung open. Most likely my father,-well, step dad. He was a better dad the 'Apollo' for sure.

The next day of school was strange it was the last day. Our senior friends, Grover, Annabeth, Thalia and Rachel had all graduated and didn't have to go the last day. We were sophomores. Nico, Percy and I. Well, at exactly 2:20 we would be juniors.

Nico hadn't said a word about last night. Lunch was a bit awkward without the others, it seemed empty and sad.

Percy ranted about theories for whom Keith-from VLD, parents was, but my heart wasn't in it. Percy had one arm around Nico's neck, and his other hand tangled with Nico's hand. I couldn't say the scene didn't make me miss Luke, or feel a bit jealous of Percy. But I kept my mouth shut and smiled.

I disappeared at one point, just feeling like a third wheel. I wandered the courtyard until I ran into a boy-literally. I crashed into a kid, it happened so fast I didn't really, 'see him' until another guy offered me a hand and pulled me up. ''Thanks,'' I muttered. This guy was tall-built like a foot ball player, with a military hair cut, but kind brown eyes, ''no problem, Leo here's just being stupid.'' Leo-the boy I had ran into chuckled on the ground. He had curly black hair, with a tint of brown, pointed ears and grease all over his cloths, he was, I had to say...a bit cute..

There was another girl, she had chocolate brown skin, and curly hair, she was very small compared to the football player. She wore a shirt that read, 'black lives matter'. I appreciated that, a girl that stands for something. The girl also held a sketch pad. Her curly hair put up with most likely a drawing pencil.

When Leo stood up, I couldn't help but realise how similar to Nico, the height the messy black, both very skinny, and tired brown eyes. Nico says I get obsessed with every boy I meet. Maybe it was true.

''I'm Frank,'' the big guy said, offering a hand, I shake it,
''Will, last day of my sophomore year? What about you, I don't remember seeing you around,''
''I'm a Junior, but I'll be a senior next year.''
''Cool, wanna hang out? My friends kinda...ditched me.''

''Oh man do I know how that feels,'' Leo began, ''last day to be a freshman, whoop!'
The girl smiled, and said, ''same here, Hazel, nice to meet you.''

''Nice to meet you all.'' I smiled,

There was the chime of someone's phone-even if they weren't really supposed to be out in school, but it was the last day, and we were doing nothing but signing yearbooks after lunch.

Leo pulled out his phone, ''guys, Pipe's invited us over,-hey, er new guy, Will right? Wanna come?"
''Sure!'' I replied immediately, then thought for a moment, ''can I bring my friends?"
''Yeah!"

''Why don't you actually text Piper to find out?" Frank asked,
Leo mouthed, oh, before texting speedily seconds later his phone chimed again, and Leo grinned ''its on!'
