[Koizumi Akane POV]
I woke up from a restless sleep due to the rough waves to glimpse at the glowing and radiant sun peaking above the horizon out of my window. It extended its vivid light across the deep crimson sky. It's dazzling and inviting rays flowed through the window providing warmth to my body. Slowly, the fatigue of the long journey was seeping out of me as the welcoming rays trickled replacing my unrest - relaxing my body. Eventually I got out of bed and stumbled across to the closet, filled with unnecessary clothes as my drowsiness had still not left me.
I slid down my pajama top and bottom, revealing a black bra and underwear. I slip on the Rakuzan High jacket and the gray skirt. I slid on the black tights on and finish it off by brushing the dust off my school uniform. I look at myself one last time and walk out my room with my bag.
As I walk down the stairs and sit down at the dining table. After I eat my breakfast, I wave to my aunt and walk out the door. Whether it's a coincidence, Sei and I walk out our doors simultaneously. We greet each other good morning and begin walking to school. We start a random conversation, just like when we were in Junior High. The conversation started out normal. I felt calm when I'm with Sei. Before I knew it, I was in front of the tall school building. Students came from different neighborhoods and gathered into groups or pairs. As soon Sei and I take our first step into the school building, all the eyes lands on us.
I follow Sei's footsteps and walk behind him, not sure whether I was welcome here. The more deeper I walked into the school ground, the more nervous I became. I walked closer to Sei as I felt more eyes eyeing, glaring, and staring at me.
'Were they looking at Sei or me?'
Sei noticed me suddenly walking closer to him . . . and he smirked.
"Are you nervous?" He mocks.
"Pfft! I have no idea what you're talking about!" I reply back with loads of sweat flowing down my forehead. He looks at me as if I was an alien; his eyebrows scrunched, his lips in a straight line, and his face sour.
"Just relax. You'll be fine," he says showing no sympathy. As I take my first step into the building, a whole new different atmosphere appears. My heart was beating a lot faster than my normal beat. I could feel my hands sweating.
"I'll take you to the office. Follow me," Sei says leading me once again. He stops walking all of a sudden, making me bump onto his back. "This is the office."
"Errrr. Thanks, Sei."
"You should seriously calm down. I'm going to my class, now. If you need help, talk to me during lunch." With that, Sei leaves all alone in front of this door.

After retrieving me schedule, I scan my classes.
'Let's see. . . My home room class is 1-A? I'll have trouble looking for this simple classroom,' I thought as I walk through the halls. As I see the sign '1-A', I stare at the door that seemed to be so big. I take a deep breathe and knock on the door with a bright smile.
The door opens, revealing a woman in a black mini-skirt and a white blouse. Her brown hair was neatly wrapped in a nicely done bun.
"Oh, you must be the new transfer student, Koizumi-San," the woman says. "I'm your new home room teacher, Mrs. Matsushita. Nice to meet you. Now, come in!"
I slowly walk into the classroom. As I face the students, only one student caught my eyes.
"Koizumi-San, why don't you introduce yourself?"
My lips curl up into a bright smile. "Hello, my name's Koizumi Akane. I moved here from America. I hope I get to be good friends with all of you!"
'Look at her legs! They're so thin! Is she even eating?'
'Do you think she has a girlfriend?'
'Yes! A new target to play pranks on!'
"Koizumi-San you can sit behind Akashi-Kun, The boy with red hair. And you over there, no pranks!"
As I walk pass Sei's desk, we make eye contact and slightly smile.

The teacher leaves the classroom as soon the bell for lunch rings. As I was about to poke Sei from behind, a girl sitting next to me calls my name.
"Koizumi-San!" A girl with short brown hair says. "Want to eat lunch with me?"
"Hey, that's not fair! How dare you speak to her before us!" A group of boys says.
"There's no such rule like that!" The girl with short brown hair says. "I'm Kouga Miyako. You can call me Miya! Nice to meet you!"
I look at her and slightly smile.
'Maybe, this school isn't that bad.'
"Koizumi-San, why don't you sit with us during lunch?" A group of girls asks.
"Actually," I say as I look at Sei that's in front of me. He stands up from his seat and walks out of the room. "I have to meet someone, right now. Why don't we eat lunch together tomorrow?" I ask them as I stand up from my seat and walk out the room; looking for a certain red-head.
As soon I walk out the door, I see Sei right beside the door.
"What's wrong with eating lunch with them?" Sei asks. "Do you not want to eat with them?"
"No, I just thought. . . Maybe, I should have a tour of the school. So, Sei. . . Can you take a tour of the school?"
"No," he bluntly answers.
"Wha-why?!"
"Take a tour of the school by yourself," he says walking away.
"Sei!! I'm just going to get lost! Please?!"
"Exactly, it's funny to watch you get lost."
"What kind of response is that?!" I ask. Sei swiftly turns around and starts walking. "Sei!! Wait for me!"
"If you're not going to hurry up, I'm not going to take you on the tour."
My lips curve up. I run towards him and catching up to him.
'Maybe if Sei's here with me, I'll have fun at this school.'
