Chapter 09 : Starry sky ; 星空

The cool breeze sent chills down my arms. The sky above was pitch black with the bright skies lighting its way. Underneath the starry sky, Sei carried the box with the cat in it. Sei suddenly stopped and looked up with a small smile.
I stared at him confused.
"Don't you think the stars are beautiful?"
I slowly lift my chin and my eyes widen. The
stars twinkled above us, almost as if protecting us from any harm. A small smile curved up.
"It is," I whispered back.
Sei laid down on the grass after setting the box on his side. I laid down next to him looking up at the beautiful sparkling stars. A large, warm hand engulfed my small right hand.
I looked down to see Sei's hand holding onto mine.
If the night wasn't dark, I swear he could see pink tints on the side of my cheeks. A wider smile plastered onto my face as I felt his hand tighten around mine.
The stars above looked like they would guide us no matter how hard the times were. Always protecting the small ones.
But who knew that he was secretly grinning widely as he held onto her hand?
