Chapter 5 - After-school Activities

You are currently packing up your stuff since it's the end of the day until Kayano come up to you.

"Hey Y/N, do you want to come to the mall with us?" she ask.

"For what?" I ask.

" To go shopping! Of course!" Rio Nakamura explain.

"Uhmm. I kinda have this thing and this other thing," I lied.

"Nope, you're coming with us!" said Rio and Kayano.

They dragged me to where the mall is.

Time Skip

The girls and I were at the food court part of the mall where we all decided to get something to drink. I was wearing a white tank top, dark grey joggers, white Adidas shoes and a white comfy cardigan. I was currently sipping on my coke when Rio decided to strike up a conversation.

"So, let's all discuss which guy in our class is the hottest," she said with a wink.

"WHAT??!!!" Kayano screamed.

"..... yeah sure, why not?" I said.

"YOU'RE ACTUALLY APPROVING THIS CONVERSATION?" said Kayano.

"We all already know who you like so there is no point in hiding it. You're really easy to read Kayano," I replied back.

Kayano looked defeated.

"So, who do you think is the most hottest?" ask Rio Nakamura.

"I think Karma would take top spot if he wasn't so sadistic," suggested Kayano.

All of the girls nodded their heads in agreement.

"U-uhm... I actually t-think that Karma is c-cute when he acts s-sadistic," Okuda Manami said.

"Awww, does Okuda have a crush on Karma?" teased Rio.

"N-NO! IT'S NOT LIKE THAT!" She said with a blush that could even put Karma's hair to shame.

My eyebrows twitched when Rio said that Okuda likes Karma. Even though she was teasing, I still don't care. I can feel my insides boiling up to the point where I am about to explode. I have this knot in my heart that hurts more than a bullet. Trust me, I know what a bullet feels like. I'm a top notch assassin remember? I clenched my fist while trying to remain calm but it's impossible. What is this feeling? I felt like I was being strangled by something. Is this what they call the 'Green Eyed Monster' in the Odyssey? Is this jealousy? Am I jealous of Okuda?

"Don't try to hide it Manami, we all know that you're planning to give Karma a Valentines Day gift even though it's like forever away," said Rio.

"How did you know?" she asked in shock.

"You should be more careful about what you put in your desk," she said with a smirk.

ARGGHHHH!!!! Please tell me that this isn't jealousy. Please tell me that this is just me messing up my head. But if this isn't jealousy, then why do I feel this way? Why do I feel like somebody squeezing my heart. GOD, THIS IS SO COMPLICATED?! WHY DOES LOVE HAVE TO BE SO COMPLICATED?! I need a scientific problem to help ease my mind.

"Hey Okuda, can you ask me a science question that you always wondered about but never got the chance to solve it?" I asked her since she's good at science.

'Uhmm... why?" she asked.

"To help ease my mind and to show how intelligent I am," I said.

"O-ok, uhmm.... Oh! What if everyone actually had only one soul mate, a random person somewhere in the world?" she asked.

Everyone listened eagerly since they want to find out if they will ever get the chance to see their soul mate.

"hmm... quite interesting question, well let's see. Uhmm... let's assume that you were assigned a random soul mate at birth. Right away, you will wonder if you're soul mate would still even be alive. There are over a billion humans who lived on this Earth but only 7 billion are alive right now. So if we were paired up, roughly 90% of our soul mates would already be dead. But remember that we also have the future soul mates to work with as well. The chances of you running into your soul mate is very small. This is why we have back-up plans. The number of strangers we make eye contact with everyday can vary on where you are. Let's work on the fact that about 10% of them are close to your age, that would be 50,000 potential soul mates you would make eye contact with in a lifetime. Given that you have 500,000,000 soul mates, that means you will find your soul mate in one lifetime out of 10,000. So basically in short, I say the chances are slim to none." I said.

They all looked at me wide-eyed that it's starting to creep me out. 

"I have no idea what you just said," Rio said.

"THAT'S THE MOST SIMPLEST EXPLANATION I HAVE EVER SAID. HOW CAN YOU NOT UNDERSTAND IT?!" I screamed.

Suddenly, a bunch of girls came up to us. Judging by their uniforms, they are from Kunugigaoka Junior High as well. But I've never seen them before so they must be main building students. 

"Hi! Are you L/N Y/N from class 3-E?" one of them asked.

"Hmmm?"

"I'm Megamo. I just wanted to ask if you have any type of relationship with Asano Gakushu?" she demanded.

I already know where this was heading. These girls must be his fangirls who are going to kill me if I have any type of romantic relationship with the strawberry blonde dude that I met at assembly today. I have to figure out a way to shut them down.

" I have no idea what they're saying," I whispered to Kayano but loud enough for them to hear.

"You're literally speaking the same language as me," Megamo snapped.

"Technically I speak 10 languages but bitch isn't one of them and to answer your question, I just met him today, now bye Megahoe," I said with a smirk.

She looked pissed off and stormed away with her posse behind her. One of her lackeys glared at me but I just gave an air kiss and smiled.

"Thanks for shutting them down Y/N, I though they came to make fun of us," said Rinka with a sigh of relief.

"You're welcome," I said with a smile.

Time Skip

After that whole ordeal, it was time to leave. I said bye to everyone.

'What was that feeling I just had today?' I wondered.

"Hey Y/N, do you want to do this again sometime?" Kayano asked.

"If I have time, then yes," I said with a smile.

Then I walked back to my home to greet my little sister.
