Chapter 4

                                 ~ Previously on 'The Abandoned Hallway' ~

"I have a secret for you too Liam." He gives me a questionable look. I lean to his ear and whisper, "I'm gay too." I lean back and smile. He looks so shocked. Guess it's time to shock him more. I think evilly to myself. 

~ Liam's POV ~

I can't believe it! He's gay? I look at him and smile. "Come on, let's get back to lunch." I say. We walk into the lunch room again and eat. I look around and smile. I feel like this huge weight has been lifted off of me now Zayn knows. I just wish I could tell him my other secret, but only my parents know and they said not to tell anyone.

~ Louis' POV ~

Me and Niall skipped school today. We told our mum's we didn't feel good and it's probably because of all the stress. They said alright but we need to go back tomorrow. "Louis, I'm going to grab popcorn okay?" Niall says to me. I nod and he goes into the kitchen. We were going to watch a movie and Niall said we need the popcorn. "Alright I got it mate!"

"Okay Niall, put the damn movie on now!" He mutters something about women and being on periods. "Hey, just because I'm gay doesn't mean I'm exactly like women!" I say and cross my arms and pout. "Mhm, sure whatever you say your highness." He bows and I throw a pillow at him.

Throughout the whole movie, all I could think about was that person at lunch yesterday. They were just so per-fect. I really need to stop hanging out with Leroy. I think to myself. Leroy goes to another school. One where gays aren't bullied. Maybe I should transfer there? And leave Niall behind? Hell no, I can't leave this ball of sunshine alone with Zayn and Liam!

When the movie ended, it was time for me to go home. "See you tomorrow Niall!" I said heading out the door. "See you Louis!" I then walked to my house which was surprisingly right down the road from Niall's. I walk into my house and head to my room where I immediately fall asleep.

~ The Next Day ~

"Louis, time to get ready for school." I groan in response. "But Mu-" "No buts about it! You said you were going today! Now get up before I get the ice water!!" I'm up in a second. The last thing I want is to have water poured on me. "Okay Mum, I'm up!" As I got ready, all the memories of last night flooded into my head. Niall and me messing around, us watching a movie and the perfection I'm going to see in lunch today.

"Bye Mum, I'm leaving for school!" I yell. When I'm outside I text Niall and ask him if he wants to walk to school with me.

Me: Hey Niall, want to walk to school with me?

Niall: Sure man, meet ya halfway.

Me: Ok, see you in a bit.

Once I send it, About 5 minutes later I find Niall. "Hey Louis. Did ya get any sleep?" I chuckled. "I fell asleep right when I got home." Niall starts laughing. "I couldn't sleep. I was too nerved up about today and what's going to happen." I look at him. He doesn't look like his cheery self all of a sudden. I slow down and stop walking. I put my hands on his shoulders and look him in the eyes.

"Listen Niall, you don't have anything to worry about. If Zayn and Liam come anywhere near you and me, I promise you I won't let them hurt you. I have been dealing with this for years so don't even tell me I don't need to protect you. To me, your like my little brother and I will do anything in my power to protect you."

When I finish Niall looks at me and hugs me tightly. "I'm just scared Louis. Scared you'll end up in the hospital because of me or something." "Niall, were you not listening?  I told you, you have nothing to worry about. Just leave it to me and I'll make sure nothing serious happens."

"Come on, we need to get going!" Niall looks at me and smiles. I see some mischief shining in his eye. "What are you thinking Niall?" I say slowly. "Well Louis....... RACE YA!" We bolted off running to school. "I WIN!" I say as Niall pants beside me. "Damn mate, didn't think you could run that fast." He says between breaths. "I've been running since I came out Niall, what made you think I couldn't beat you?" His breath evens out and he just says, "I have no clue.." We walked into school. Everyone was whispering about something from yesterday.

"Niall, you can go with your friends.." I say as his friends keep glancing at him. I look down after I say it and he looks at them. "Hold on a minute, you want me to leave you all alone?" He says. I look at him. No I don't. I haven't had a friend in a long time.. "You can go if you want, I'll be fine." He laughs. "No I refuse to leave you. You're stuck with me now!" At that I laughed. "At least see what everyone is whispering about!" He drags me to his friends and they told us - more like him - about what happened with Zayn and Liam.

I can't believe it! Liam and Zayn are gay?! I never expected Zayn to be gay. That's why Liam was never mean to me! He felt bad because he is just like me! "LOUIS ARE YOU THERE!?!" I jump back in surprise. In the process, I tripped on the edge of the pavement and went flying backwards. "Ugh," is all I say in reply to Niall. "Oh mate, you all right?" Niall helps me up and pulls me to my feet. "Yeah, not the worst I've been in remember?" Niall looks down. "Oh, right.." I look back at him. "So, why were you trying to get my attention?" By now all his friends walked away. "I just wanted to know what you thought about Zayn and Liam."

"I can't believe they both are gay! Oh my god... NIALL, what if Zayn is pretending to be gay to hurt Liam?!?!" Niall's eyes are wide now. "Oh god, I never thought of it like that!"

Hello guys! I'm back with the update!! Sorry for the long wait... I've been having family problems lately and I got in trouble for my grades dropping.. on top of that I've been more depressed than usual..

But anyways, I will definitely have another update soon! School's out now so I'll be able to update more! Anyone want to comment? I haven't had any comments and I'm starting to think the worst... But please comment anything or message me if you want!
