Chapter 2

Hopefully just dreaming

It's a normal morning here at the academy. I wake up to get in the shower. Nick is about to go for a run. Cole decides to join him. Strange but hey it's his call. I go to the shower turn my music on and get in.

Cole and Nick are starting their run. They're teasing each other when cole pushes nick a little to hard towards the road.......BAMMM...... nick is hit and dead in a second. When cole calls me I flip out I scream cry I don't know what to do. After about and hour they have nick on a hospital bed just finished running the last test to state he is officially dead. They know so why is he sitting here on display. I can't see him like this so I close my eyes and cry.

"NNOOOOOOOO" I sit up and scream. Then I cry and then I have to say to myself it was just a dream. Nick hops off his bed without thinking an comes down to a hard landing. But Alex jumps to me first cradling me in his arms while I cry. After about 15ins I'm asleep still wrapped in his arms and still crying. I wake up about an hour later. Nick pulls me out of Alex's arms knowing I don't like him at all while he still has feelings for me. Nick was smart to do that.

"Brenna what happened?" he asks

I scan the dream then Jump at cole and start yelling.......

"IT'S ALL YOUR FALUT!!!! YOU KILLED HIM!! YOU DUMBASS!! WHAT DID U THINK HE WAS COMPETITION OR SOMETHING IS THAT WHY YOU KILLED HIM HUH WHY!!" I'm screaming while nick holds me back. He seats me on my bed while I just stare at cole angrily. Nick asks what happened so I tell. After that everybody in the room but nick looks upset cuz he means the most to me being my best friend since I could walk.

I walk over to Cole's bed and apologize. He just stares at me and then grabs his lacrosse stick and walks out the room. After that we all go back to our beds and back to sleep. Well I just lay there and stare blankly at the wall. I'm to awake to sleep and to afraid to sleep. To afraid to relive the past hour. Can't face the aftermath. I notice out of the corner of my eye Alex is still awake. If I tried to leave he'd stop me so that's off the list. I just continue to stare at the wall.

Jaiden awakes and rolls over to find Alex still awake.......

"Dude you so still are in love with her. it's obvious."

"No...no it can't be she didn't even like pay attention to me and she is in love with Alex." he isn't so happy about saying that.

"No my question is well actually more like my statement is you are still in love with her!!" jaiden says knowing he is correct.

"Ya I guess. I mean she is perfect, she is funny, crazy, beautiful, athletic, can stand up to anyone, and look she is a girl playing a guys sport even though girls have their own league of lacrosse she is showing that they need to be equal. An that's correct."

"Would u date her just for the fame or for her who she is even if she was playing for girls?" jaiden asks thinking about this question himself.

"For her, I mean who wouldn't she is perfect by being different and out of the ordinary. She isn't normal like all the girls we usually date. She is the best one." he says dazing at me. I didn't know he actually felt that way about me. I thought bout this. Thts when I snapped. "I love Alex Edwards not Alex Ezell. He broke my heart to many times."

"Would you date her for the fame or for her?" Alex asks questioning but also wondering Jaiden's response.

"For her. She is beautiful. And I was her first real boyfriend so I think she would go for me first before you. I mean like I do hold a special place in heart. And I always will." He says almost some greedy that he smirks and shakes his head in Alexander's face.

Before anyone can respond I stand up throw my Niagara soccer hod-die on and grab my phone then say..........

"You two are lucky I was asleep when Cole brought you here cuz if I wasn't I would haven't even let u step foot in this room so help you god you mess my life up again cuz once I think I'm happy you two are always the ones who ruin it. You better start praying you make it to see the sunset tonight." after that I grab my lacrosse stick and set out to find Cole. He always seems to be the other one who is upset when I am maybe he is who I need to start listening too.
