West's pov
It has been 5 years since nationals but most of the team have moved on from the next step. Me and my wife Emily took over the studio from Kate so we run into everyone once in a while.
I walk into the cafe downstairs in the same building as the dance studio and I see james sitting on the couch.
W. Hey, what's up?
J. Not much, how's Emily doing.
W. She's good. It's been a long time since I saw you here.
James pov
The reason I stoped going to the next step is because riley moved away three years ago. I can't really let her go because we broke up and a week later she was gone.
J. I just came back today because this place felt like home, but I think I need to go now.
West don't really understand but I could not be home today because it's mine and rileys anniversary today.
At the same time in Miami
Riley's pov
Me and James broke up 3 years ago, but I didn't move away because of that. I moved away because I had nothing left there after we lost reigonals. The only thing holding me back was... it was James so when we broke up I left. I was a disappointment to everybody and myself, I kept in touch with Emily and my family for about six months but they reminded me of everything I didn't have anymore.
I joined a studio when I came to Miami. I met a guy on the team his name is Theo. We started dating three months after I came to the studio, it's been almost 2 and a half year since we started dating now. We have lived together for about 18 months.
I love him but my heart will always belong to someone else.
