Well, I deep down believe our relationship won't ever be quite the same. I saw you that day, at the petrol station. I saw you turn and ask your friends if that's me. I turned once again so that you could get a good look at me, waiting for you to get up to make the move, but you just sat there. You looked like you were about to die, like your heart was beating out of its chest. You moved out of my line of sight, and I walked back over to the UBER. I sent you a text a millisecond after you disappeared, hoping you'd see it and highlight the fact that you can see me, but you didn't. You did eventually but long after I'd left. That's when it became clear, that I had really messed up. I'd done more than I thought, I'd scarred our relationship forever. The truth is, I didn't have it in me either to walk up to you and say hey. I couldn't find the balls to do it. But its just saying hey, right? No struggle. I almost froze when I saw you, and realized it was actually you. That's why I was staring at the road like an idiot.I guess that's the price of breaking up.
